Hey everyone,
I didn't see a topic on this but UC Davis has opened up their applications from 9/14 to 9/17 for a December Cohort this year. Has anyone else applied?
I saw that too! I'm really curious how many people they're interviewing across the whole program vs how many spots there are. This is my first nursing interview! I'm so excited & thankful but I wish my first one wasn't my top choice in hospital so that I could have gotten practice in elsewhere first.
Just finished my interview! I think I answered the some questions really well but I'm unsure of my performance in other areas. Would love to hear from others what the panel said to you afterwards -- did they say HR would be in touch Monday, next week, two weeks, or nothing about that? Trying to figure out if I got the green light or not. ?

*sigh*, that's what I thought. Makes me think I didn't get the job this time.
Ah yes! I also received the reference letter link 24+ hours after (but within the 48 hour timeframe they said they would send the link!)
A quick question for those who have received the reference email from HR (particularly those who interviewed for the trauma unit) - does all of them have to be from clinical instructors, or only the 2? I remember my interviewers said all 5 must be from clinical instructors, but just wanted to double check with others as well.

I interviewed with NICU and they told me HR would say something within 2 weeks. They didn’t give me a heads up about sending the references (I also forgot to ask) and now I’m getting a little worried after reading these replies ?
Just now, Josh A said:For the references, they want two nursing managers and the other three could be clinical instructors, coworkers from your preceptorship, or nursing professors
How are we supposed to have nurse managers if we’ve never formally worked at a nursing floor before? I have letters from my preceptor, a clinical instructor, 2 professors, and 1 non-medical supervisor.
I had no formal/routine contact with the nurse managers on my clinical rotations so I highly doubt even if I reached out that they would endorse/cosign a letter or fill out a reference.

Congrats! Which departments did you interview for? Were they all for UC Davis?
I have mine later this afternoon and I'm trying to remain calm. I've practiced my "behavior question" answers ("tell me about a time you...") but I'm nervous for any potential "clinical knowledge" questions ("you have a patient who....") since it's been some time since I was in a NICU. If you don't mind sharing I would love to hear about how your interview went! You can also PM me.
