Published

I know it's early but decided to start one!

Hi everyone! Has anyone received an interview invite for the ICU position yet?

Hi! I also scheduled an interview on July 6th for the ORTP. All I know about the interview is it's a panel interview with about 3 candidates and its via zoom. I have no idea what kind of questions they will be asking. I also interviewed  for the Stanford new grad residency program and their interview was so intense. It was all behavioral style questions so I am curious if the UC Davis program will be similar. So if anyone has any other information or tips on how to prepare I'd would greatly appreciate it!

Hi OMG! What time is your interview? Mine is at 11:15am so I'm wondering if it seems more of a group interview then. I don't have any other info in regards to the questions as well!? I wish I had more guidance.

Hello everyone,

I was gonna apply for the new application that is up now for new grad, it says "you have already submitted an application for this job" so, if we applied for it on May, we don't have to apply for this one now? Anyone who experienced this?

Yes, we cannot re-apply to it because it is the same Job Req ID#. My classmate got a response this morning, and those who applied before the April 10th deadline are still being considered for the July and October cohorts. She also mentioned in the email: "The repost is a one-time exception and not tied to our October Cohort. There have not been changes to departments hiring."

I deleted my initial application and reapplied with a new and improved cover letter/resume. It also gave me the opportunity to update my information.

What was your status before you deleted it? Mine says routed for further consideration

"Under review." I was not confident in my ability to get hired with what I initially sent, so for me it made sense to reapply. But that's me. You got to take everything into account and do what you think will give you your best outcome. Good luck.

Mine said "no longer under consideration" bc I applied for the OR program but got denied due to not enough experience. I applied for other departments instead. Hoping for the best!

So, we cannot work anywhere else while waiting for their response, right?

I was wondering if you did your senior preceptorship in NICU? Does UCD prioritize students that do their preceptorship in the specific specialty they are interviewing for? Or if you have outside work/volunteer experience is that still looked at?

Hi! I did not precept in the NICU but just stressed my interest in the interview/app!
Thsey do prioritize your preceptorship but it is still possible to get a job if you didn't precept in the area.

I really want to work in their OR program but I hate how they structure it as only accepting ppl with experience ? so I feel like I would have to loook at other options
