UC Davis MEPN 2022

Hello everyone!

I'm starting this thread for those interested in applying to UC Davis's Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN), for Summer 2022 entry, to be part of Cohort 7. Hoping this will be a space where everyone can ask questions, connect, give advise and share information. ?

For those accepted, what is your deadline to respond to the school on whether you accept or deny your spot?

LOL this is crazy. Basically a majority of us in this thread are waitlisted, then who the heck got accepted other then Calista and Josh LOL

Hi All, 

Sorry for jumping on this late. I got accepted into the program and will accept my spot since Davis is the closest to home.  

Stats: 

Academic- 3.6 undergrad GPA for Health Science, concentration in Administration

Professional Experience - for the past 10 years I've been a family member caregiver, surgical tech, health administration, CNA, and phlebotomist.  

Related Volunteer- transporter at my local hospital, and within my community (food bank, homeless shelters, etc). 

For those that are waitlisted don't be discouraged. This is my 2nd attempt applying after being waitlisted last year. When I first started school, I did not have any guidance as a 1st generation college student. I literally had a 2.0 for my prerequisites and believed that passing with all C's was enough. I really did not think about applying to Nursing till the pandemic really gave light to what my true passion was, to pursue higher education and become a Nurse.  

For those that are applying, don't give up. Sending good vibes your way ❤️ 

P.S. for those accepted, would you like to start a group? (facebook, Discord, etc.). Also if anyone has info on routes/ options to pay for graduate school. Please send it my way!

For those who were waitlisted, have your transcripts been uploaded yet? One of my transcripts has not been uploaded yet and still has the red x.

I didn't feel like making an account but here I am. I'm waitlisted and my transcripts were uploaded with green checks when I applied to the school. I didn't have to wait for them to be uploaded. I also want to say that I don't go to UC Davis as well. I hope your transcript situation has been resolved.

hey everyone! current MEPN student here. Congrats on your acceptances and/or current waitlist status. And also hoping for the best for others that weren't accepted this round of applications.

Some students are getting a FB group page ready for y'all to ask us questions and connect with current students. Keep an eye out for that in a week or so!
