Hey New Grads! I just wanted to start a post about the upcoming New Grad RN program at UC Davis. I thought it would be nice, and anxiety calming, to start a thread to share about the application process. I just finished my application. I was surprised there were no supplemental questions to fill out. Anyways, Good luck to everyone!

Oh yeah, Anyone else apply for previous cohorts? Maybe you could share some insight into the process. I'm hoping for a transplant position, I LOVE transplant nursing. I spent 2 rotations on a transplant unit in school in Colorado and LOVED it.

A lady from their recruitment team told me its just the general status of their process, basically it says "interview" because the unit managers are interviewing people now, and will call if they are interested in a candidate.

How did u know icu is not hiring any new grad?

The recruiter didn't state any ICU units except for PICU. And my dad works there and has talked to managers in the ICU and it seems like they don't want to hire any new grads unless they precepted there.

No! Because the managers weren't there do you know how many people are interviewing us?

I believe 3 or 4, Tina, Melisa, Betty, and maybe Gabriel.

Is that last person an assistant nurse manager? I never heard of them haha so I'm wondering.
