Does anyone know if UC Davis FNP program is accredited by California State? I heard someone say don't go there because it isn't. Thanks.

I have a stupid wqestion for you....why not just call teh university and ask? Seems to me that would be the easiest and best way to find out.

In the same length of time that it took you to type this question here, I google UC DAVIS FNP and came up with this.

The program is accredited by California but after January 2008 there is a requirement for a MSN to get licensed in California. Stanford and Davis are the only dual PA/FNP programs. The letter from Stanford explains the issues a little better:

Stanford chose to discontinue their FNP option. Davis has you finish the MSN classes through CSUS which gives you an MSN and allows you to sit for your FNP.
