Anyone out there applying to UB's accelerated nursing program beginning in May of 2016?
I was in UB's ABS program and graduated this past May. It's very hard but it's worth it. I had a 3.8 prereq GPA and 3.1 overall. Everyone I know from the program (including traditional students) passed NCLEX on the first try, which is huge. I worked per diem at a local hospital as a nurse's aide and was hired as a graduate nurse a couple months before graduation, but even those who didn't were working by June/July. Its easy to make great contacts in clinicals etc. Good luck!
This is my position as well. I have 165 credit hours only 3.1 overall gpa (3.9 prereq) , do you know the average accepted gpa when you applied? (overall gpa)
Hi! Sorry for the late reply I just saw this. The average gpa when I got in was a 3.6 I think, but the committee looks at how good your essay is and if your prereq gpa is high they count that as well. I had some terrible grades from my past, but they looked at how much I improved and how well I did with my sciences etc. Good luck!

It is a closed group but it says it should be searchable. I do l have to approve people. I just added someone, was it you?
