UB ABS 2016 start

Hi, I will be applying, I'm going to be a senior in college this year and want to start right after. I didn't realize people would already be posting!

That is exciting! I graduated in May of 2014 and have been taking the pre reqs this past year. How many have you completed thus far?! And I'm already posting because I'm so anxious about the application process lol!

There are many UBs out there. Which program specifically is this?

The University at Buffalo, Accelerated nursing program

Their program is intense and in my opinion very disorganized. I am a BSN student there and feel like some classes are just a waste of time. Some faculty is amazing, and some I swear are just out to get you. On the other hand, I'm participating in an internship, and after talking to students from other schools, I feel like the UB students had stronger communication, clinical, and critical thinking skills. I've finished all my prereqs, some at my university and one at ECC in Buffalo. I'm from Buffalo so I'm OK with coming back home after graduation for nursing school...however I'd prefer to go elsewhere, just having trouble with all the crazy tuitions. Are you applying anywhere else? I am looking at a few places in Pittsburg, NYC, and in the DC area but they are just too expensive compared to UB.

Once you guys have applied, did you receive anything saying your application was complete and under review or anything? I want to know that they got EVERYTHING and that it's all together, I know I can email them. Just wondering if anyone heard anything!

Hello! I have also applied for next May. I have not received anything to say they have all the info. I do know that UB has sent over my transcripts to the nursing department. I had to clarify some information and when I called back they let me know that it was sent over. December seems so far away!

No you do not need to send a transcript if you attended UB. I received an email after submitting my application that it was received. If you don't mind me asking, what are everyones stats & experiences? I am so nervous!
