I received an email stating my application was received on January 3rd and they called me last week to schedule an interview. So I want to say around 2 weeks. Did you get a confirmation email stating your application was received?

I had applied sometime towards the middle or end of December. I also received an email on Jan 3rd notifying me that my application was received. About a week ago I got a call to schedule my interview. Today was my interview (the first day also! I was the second person who applied that got an interview!) and it wasn't bad at all. Two people interviewed me and asked me 9 questions. I googled nursing school interview questions to help me prepare. They said they will be doing interviews for the next month. Good luck you all!!!!

Did they happen to tell you when you'd likely be notified of acceptance? I hope they don't keep us waiting too long after the interview (tho I haven't even been scheduled for an interview yet)!

Hi Future_RN17!

I have a friend who is enrolled into the program now. He actually mentioned to me that the summer seems to be the most demanding semester and after that the pace dies down a little. I have heard however from him and a couple of students at the informational I attended that the professors are very understanding and tend to work with students who have families.

I am not sure when we will hear back about acceptance! It seems from looking at older threads here that people start to find out 3-4 weeks after the cutoff date.

If you don't mind me asking.. what exactly did the email say that they sent to you?

My email mentioned nothing about a call for an interview so I'm hoping that I haven't been already basically rejected or put on a waitlist :-(.

I'm just so nervous! I hate the waiting game.

I have also applied for summer 2014. I have heard that not everyone has to interview, so just because you do not have an interview scheduled does not mean that you did not get in.

Hi! I also applied for Summer 2014 and will wait out this stressful acceptance process with you all!

ARNurseSt14, the email that you should have received just states that UAMS has received your application. It does not have anything about the interview on the email, however, you should get a call to schedule your interview within the next couple weeks or so. At least that how the process went for me!

My interview is coming up and I'm not knowing what to expect! I am just hoping it goes well!

You actually DO have to interview now. Starting this year is when interviews were required. I work at UAMS and got a lot of insiders from instructors and students. But, it hasn't been a requirement I the past.

I'm so glad to see others have joined to wait it out! To update: the interview process wasn't bad at all, just be yourself and relax. The questions are geared towards who you are & your personality. The people were pleasantly nice and for those of us who don't carry cash you need to remember to bring some for the parking fee. Good Luck everyone!
