UALR RN Program Applicant 2015

Published

I just wanted to see who else will be applying for this year? I'm already excited to start classes next week for the last of my pre reqs. I just finished 12.5 years in the Air Force so I have 60 hours of college completed before joining. If anyone else is in A&P I or Micro with me let me know. I look forward to this year in many ways.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

Correction- I have yet to take Micro or A&P II, so if I get an A in A&P I this spring, I'll have a 3.14. I'm hoping this is good enough; I have been worrying myself sick lately. Hopefully I'll hear something this month!

I'm sure this has been asked already but is anyone aware of the lowest GPA UALR has taken in the past few years?

HI,

I also applied to the LPN to RN for the 2015 year along with two of my previous classmates. I sadly didn't realize how bad I would need my GPA to be high when I was younger and taking the classes considered for entrance.

It has not been one year since I have graduated LPN school so I do not have to take any sort of entrance exam (THANK GOODNESS) I was wondering if any of you are in the same position?

also when you are talking about quality points are yall talking about for example a B in chem is worth 12 quality points? also my GPA with all nine of my prerequisites is a 2.87 :(( is anyone else this low or know anyone who has gotten in with GPA that low?

Hello, which program are you all applying to for at UALR?

Im applying to the LPN to RN and just wondering if any of you are applying to the same one.

I applied to the LPN to RN program in January. I've been an LPN for 2 years now & feel like I'm ready to get back in.

What are your entry scores and GPA if you don't mind me asking. Im really just trying to see how low I am in comparison to others to ease my mind.

My GPA is a 3.46 with my prerequisites they require & I didn't have to take a test if that's what you're preferring to with entry scores.

Oh ok

boo I wish I had worked harder when I was doing my classes. Oh well I guess we will see

my friend told me that they were told by the nursing director that they usually only get 50-60 people who apply to the LPN to RN program itself, I don't know anything about UALR or anyone who has been there. Have you heard anything similar?

I think you'll be fine Hun & when I went to an info session last summer, they stated the LPN to RN track only accepts 40 students each year so to get apps in early. I work with a girl who's in the LPN to RN program now getting ready to finish in May. She says it's hard but it's doable but the first time she didn't make it through because she worked full time, now I barely see her.

Thanks, My 11 month LPN school was very stressful but mainly because the teachers were full of drama

the material wasn't too bad it was just back to back test, I didn't work during it until the end.

oh well everything happens for a reason! good luck to you all

What PN program did you go to? Good luck to you as well & everyone on this thread.

I went to PT

we just got out in June, it seemed like the teachers wanted you to show more fear of them than anything.

where did you go?

I went to baptist & finished in dec. 2012. Girl it's some teachers sad to say that's only their for a paycheck, it's just a job to them but as long as we don't give up, we can make it!
