UALR Nursing applicants 2018

U.S.A. Arkansas

Published

Hi everyone!

I wanted to start post for all of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock nursing school applicants. Priority application submission starts today and ends Feb 28 but you can still apply after, you just risk being placed on the waiting list. I have all prereqs completed for ASN except Micro which i will take this summer and all completed for the BSN program. My nursing GPA is a 3.5 and my combined is a 3.7. Best of luck to you all!!

Thank you! I know will you too! Will you be working during the program?

I wish I didn't have to work at all! But I have a child and many bills,LMBO I plan to work part time at least to cover my carnote and insurance. My husband is covering everything else. I'm working full time right now trying to save save save as much as I can in the meantime! Wbu?!

If any of y'all are needing tuition assistance you definitely need to look into the Arkansas STEM grant- its a grant from the state that will pay tuition/books/fees for any STEM associates degree, and UALRs nursing program is on the list of approved programs. All you have to do is fill out the FAFSA and then submit your application on ADHE.edu - there's no GPA or Financial Need requirement to get it, it's just first come first served to any Arkansas resident. Deadline to apply is July 1. Just FYI because I would have never known about it had I not stumbled across it. Hope this helps someone out!

thank you!! that's good to know! hopefully I get in so I can take advantage of that!!! LOL

So supposedly all the emails that have gone out are all the spots they had open. Now it's just a matter of if the students who got accepted either accept or deny their acceptance. Say 50 people deny then the next 50 in line will receive their email.

@Hdp1213 WOW. that's crazy! if that's the case shouldn't we receive wait list emails or something? im pretty sure everyone who has recvd acceptance has accepted or declined by now because they had a deadline to do so. this isn't making any sense... I just wanna know whats the deal so I can move on with my life and go to my next plan. and they are making this really hard for me lol smh

Every time I get email from this thread I freak out because I'm thinking UALR nursing admissions....Anyhow I highly doubt it works like that because we would have receive a letter being denied or waitlisted already. From the looks of other threads they sent out acceptance letters in waves within first two weeks of sending out the first email then about 3rd and 4th week they send out denied and waitlisted letters. I could be wrong but that's just looking at past threads.

The deadline to accept or decline isn't until the 28th which is Wednesday so later this week or early next week is probably when more people will start hearing about acceptance.

Yea I agree Elexus. Because they have to notify us and let us know. And if they only sent out 50 emails they still have 150 more to send, now granted they probably are waiting to see how many are going to accept from the first wave before they send out more which makes sense, however I don't believe that the 50 they sent out on the 16th are all that they are gonna send. That's nuts

Okay, see yea that makes more sense. They are waiting to see how many accept or decline before sending out more so in that case we should here something between Thursday and Friday definitely by next week

Thanks Clmckey for clearing that up makes so much more sense! Mrs.Robinson I think we might have just misunderstood what Hdp was trying to say! More than likely we will hear something by the end of the week :)

Clmckey, do you know what time on March 16, you receive your email?

It was 2:20 in the afternoon when mine came!
