UAB 2021

Anyone applying to UAB? I have pretty much finished my application, just waiting for two recommendations. I doubt I will have my CCRN before the deadline with testing centers closed. Looking forward to hearing from y'all!

Hey everyone! Got waitlisted and happy to hear it could still happen. Does anyone know anything from past cohorts re: the alternate list, how many students are on it and likelihood of coming in? CONGRATS to all that got in, hope to meet you next year!

I’m in the alt list as well. I know three people that were wait listed and got in last year. As far as the size of the wait list, I’m not sure, but I emailed Ms. Lavier to see if she could tell me how far down on the list I am.

WOW! that’s encouraging to hear! Do you happen to know when those three found out? I guess that varies depending on people notifying them to decline admission but I wasn’t sure if they waited until certain times to notify those on the waitlist all at once or not. I was considering reaching out to the school but the email had mentioned they do not release alternate standings. If you don’t mind PM’ing me what you find out if you don’t feel comfortable posting publicly. Thanks and good luck!!

Good luck to you! I’ve asked but I haven’t received a response yet. I was told by someone on the interview committee that people ask so I just went ahead and included it with my other questions. I’ll let you know though!

do you mind letting me know what she says as well? I was put on the alt list, too. now here’s to a long time of waiting ?

For the alternative list, one found out two weeks later, another a couple weeks after that, and one found out one month before classes started.
