I'm about to start this journey. Any tips would be helpful. If there are places to work around UAB or in Alabama that are known to give good references that would be great. There has got to be some criteria they are looking for when they accept people for interviews. Please share more. I have not yet taken the GRE but I have nursing experience across a wide variety of ICUs including MICU, CVICU, SICU, and CCU. I have obtained my CCRN and I have a nursing GPA of 4.0 but that was after my ADN.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Anyone interview with UAB yet? Wondering how it went

Any acceptance letters?

I haven’t gotten anything yet. I was told at the latest August 5th about whether you are accepted or denied

When I asked they said they would make decisions this week. Emails would be sent by admin. They were hoping for the end of the week. It's my understanding most of them work on Wednesday.

What component did you guys apply too? Unsure how many they take in each but I was w mobile group

Birmingham/ Montgomery. I wondered the same thing. I told them I was open to any clinical site. They are taking an extra 10-15 ppl this year... compared to previous years

Birmingham - Huntsville. Does anyone know how many applicants applied and were interviewed?

I applied to the Dothan/Huntsville component this time. Last year I did Birmingham/Montgomery ,but that was before I knew how they selected people ??
