Has anyone not heard anything at all??

Specializes in CCRN.

These programs are very competitive. Everyone on here has a passion to obtain an acceptance into one of them. Please keep striving to get there. I haven’t been trying for a long time ,but two years is quite some time. I’ve been to numerous interviews with no acceptances. Keep going! Don’t give up! Chase your dreams!

@estiles: I haven't heard anything either, and I did get a save the date, but I am not sure all of my transcripts made it in time

So I emailed them today @jillsville and they said they mailed them!

Ok! Good luck!

Got an interview from both UAB and Samford. Samford suggests I re take the GRE but i really dont want to. I'm hoping UAB accepts me.

1. What day is your interview for?

2. What was your GRE? (if you don't mind me asking).

Specializes in ICU.

I emailed asking about ways to be more competitive. I got a generic response that started with, “Upon reviewing your application...” 1: consider getting CCRN (which I have). 2: gain more leadership experience (ok...). 3: consider retaking the GRE for a higher score (did that as well). Been talking to them fairly consistently about going there since 2014 and was really let down. It was obvious they didn’t put forth the effort to respond appropriately. I hope they were just too busy to go back and answer all the mail from disheartened prospects like myself that didn’t get the invite. Maybe it was a reference letter that was bad and they didn’t want to tell me. Ugh... Here’s my stats again:

GPA- 3.59, Nursing GPA- 3.33, Science GPA- 4.0; GRE: V- 152, Q- 159, W- 3.5; CCRN, ACLS, PALS, BLS

Luckily, I applied a few other places. I will get in! X

I interview at UAB on July 25th. I'm still not sure about Samford. My GRE is not a good score at all. I'm even embarrassed to say. I guess my experience and reference letters helped a lot.

@estiles:

I received an email today for an interview on 7/25. Have you heard anything yet???

Unfortunately, I received the denial letter! But I did get an interview at Barry University which I am excited about! I know I’ll be accepted where ever is best fit and planned for my life!

awwww, darn it. But I agree with you-best of luck to you, and everyone applying!
