Hey guys I know we have months before the application due date but I have just recently decided that I am going to apply for UA's MEPN program. I'm currently finishing up microbiology and will finish off my prerequisites once I complete organic chemistry in the fall. I am extremely excited and also nervous to be applying. I still have to take the HESI so if you guys can offer any tips on how to prepare for it especially the vocab section that'd be great! Does anyone know how many apply vs are accepted and the stats of those who are usually accepted into the program? Also I'd greatly appreciate any insight on how the program is from students that have graduated from the program or current students of the program. Thanks!
Hello everyone!
I also interviewed on Saturday. The interview process was certainly interesting as were the questions asked! I’m trying to stay positive and keep in mind that the interview isn’t the only factor involved in the selection process. Either way, getting an interview was a huge accomplishment for all of us! Hoping this week goes by quickly...
Also, did anyone find out information on how many alternates they will be choosing/ will there be outright “no’s” sent to some applicants?

Thanks for the update and the laugh, Nursing Hopeful87! That is definitely a relatable way to describe the experiece.. LOL!
Someone else told me they heard 40 alternates.. go figure!?
Wow that is a lot of alternates! I was an alternate last year, and when I called the college of nursing they said they wouldn't give out the exact number, but that it was around 5. Maybe they do 40 initially because there is so much movement in the first week, and only end up with around 5 by the time they send out the official emails? Just a guess ?

Hello and here’s hoping this is your year. ??Do you remember how long after the interview last year that they told you that you were an alternate? The waiting game is awful.
Decisions will go out on Feb 25th. I would assume alternates will be notified of their alternate status that day too. I agree there is a lot of movement on that list in the first couple weeks after decisions are made due to people who have applied to multiple programs. I read in previous year thread about people being accepted off the alternate list within a day or two of decisions...

I saw that on the screens in the room while waiting for the interview. As I was leaving the interview, one of the advisors said we would most likely hear before the 25th. The waiting is nerve -wracking. Lol
Hi everyone! I just made an account to chime in. I too am anxiously waiting to see my fate!! I was wondering if anyone has received an email of any sort since the interview? Like a confirmation or a thank you for attending? I wasn't sure if I messed up some how and didn't get one.
Anxious to see the results, and good luck to all :)

I agree, I feel I could have done much better but ah well. If it doesn't work out, I'll take it as a learning experience for next time. It was a joy to visit with everyone at lunch! Good luck and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
