UA MEPN 2018

Published

Hey everyone! I know the application deadline is a ways off, but I just wanted to get a forum started for those of us who plan on applying to the MEPN program for 2018! I have all my prerequisites finished and just have to take the HESI. I already took the TEAS for some other schools and scored very well, so I'm not too concerned about HESI as I hear it is a much easier exam without any science content required by UA. Has anyone already taken it? What did you think and how did you prepare? My last 60 units GPA is a 3.80 and my prerequisite GPA is a 3.96. I'm a little nervous about the interview as I have heard in the past it is very short- about ten minutes of talking time. I'll have to figure out how to eloquently but succinctly express my preparation for nursing school and interest in the field. Good luck everyone!!

Thank you for sharing your experience with alternate list and your word of encouragement. I appreciate it!

Some people find out today, all the way until the day before the program starts. Some never at all í ½í¸•

I just found out I was admitted to the Phoenix campus!! I cannot wait to begin this exciting journey with such a great group of people.

For those of you who were admitted, the confirmation is going to be sent out today right?

I was also accepted to the Tuscon cohort. Based off of yesterday's email, they stated the confirmation was supposed to be sent today. I have not seen it yet either.

That was my understanding, but I have not received the email.

Specializes in Registered Nurse (RN).

I just got the email.

Anyone from the wait list hear anything yet?

Not yet. We should start a support group for people on the waiting list

Congratulations to all!- I was admitted today to the Phoenix cohort. I look forward to meeting you all and sharing this journey! :)

I was wondering, does anyone have information about when the induction day/orientation would be? Just want to get a feel for the dates ahead of time. Thank you in advance!

Induction day will be on May 14th in Tucson. Last year it was from 0800-1600. Congrats and looking forward to meeting you all in May!

Hi everyone! I was admitted into the Phoenix Cohort. Can't wait to meet you all. I was wondering if anyone looking for roommates? I've started looking for places to live and I'm looking for people to live with!

Just wanted to pass on that you guys will be using some different books than the last cohort. So do not buy any used books off former students until you get your book list from the CON. I saw that on the MEPN Facebook page and just wanted to pass it along because i know some people have books posted for sale.
