U of Calgary Nursing Transfer 2017

Published

I have applied for the U of C Nursing Transfer Program for Fall 2017. I am currently just finishing up my last pre req (BIO 235 through Athabasca) so I can send away my transcripts. I am nervous because my GPA is sitting around 3.4-3.5. Does anybody have any insight about the admissions process? Has anyone been admitted yet?

Does anyone have any tips for the BIO 235 final?

Thanks so much in advance!

How are the applications going for everyone? Has anyone been admitted yet on here?

No I haven't heard back yet! How about you? Also, I called the advisor today she said they're still organizing people's transcripts. It's taking quite some time.

Still nothing but I called in today and they said I should have within a week. But I don't believe it hahahaha everything takes so long!!!

What's your gpa? Who said within a week? Hahah

I'm at a 3.85 and they have just messed up so many things with the processing of my application that they said they guarunteed it would be properly processed within a week and then nursing said that if I have that gpa I should hear back immediately. But I don't know... everyone just call call call they've made too many errors on mine for me to trust them!

Is that 3.85 gpa based on the prereqs like anatomy, stats, English, etc.? That's ridiculous. You should have been notified right away! Haha exactly why I've been calling them constantly

Yes it's based on the prerequisites and up to my last ten classes or whatever. Good I'm glad other people are calling lots too! I want us all IN and they don't seem to care much about us transfer students haha

Everyoneeeee! I just checked my student portal and I am accepted! :)

Omg I'm so happy for you!!! Congrats! I hope I get a response soon as well. You must be so happy

I'm so happy and honestly relieved!!!! Please keep me in the loop about you application! What is your gpa at again out of curiosity?? She said in the phone that it usually goes to like a 3.5-6!!! I just want all of us in and I want to meet you guys!

I bet!! After them messing up your application you must feel a sigh of relief haha. Absolutely! I'm at a 3.57 gpa right now so it's cutting it really close but fingers crossed. You need to celebrate!!

I haven't heard back yet! Has anyone else been admitted? Or know where the GPA is at for admittance?
