U of Calgary Accelerated 2018 January

Hi all! Just like to meet all the potential applicants here. Have you applied already?

I also have that. It means you have all your documents submitted but they haven't made a decision about your application yet.

Ah well that just changed last week Friday.my documents were submitted in August I had the green circle since then . I took my statistics pre req outside canada and for the past one month when I call the admissions office ,I was told the faculty of maths needed to verify my statistics outline.so maybe they finally heard back.

Yeah, if you have been waiting long i suggest you call.

I called and a few hours later got accepted.

But i was confident i could get in because of my transfer GPA.

Specializes in EP, Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Clinic.

what was your gpa if u dont mind me asking

Hi everyone, I just talked to Nursing an hour ago, and they said they're admitting at a GPA of 3.6 right now, and also that they are really behind due to the new way they're calculating the GPA, so if you haven't already heard back, you can expect to hear back from them in a while from now.

Does anyone know how many seats are there for the degree holder route? or whether they will go below the 3.6 slightly?

I called and they said there are 300 applicants, but not sure if that is total for degree and transfer cause I know transfer has had 125 applicants so is the remaining 175 for degree? Admissions also said there is about 80 seats for degree holder.

Hi guys ,has anyone heard anything so far .I called admissions and they said that my statistics has been cleared just waiting for a faculty decision.can anyone please share the number to call for the faculty of nursing .the numbers I call am directed to leave voice messages

Hey guys, just wanted to share another quick tip. You need a valid CPR throughout the program, and the program requires you to renew it every year (even if it says it is valid for longer on your actual CPR card). If you book your CPR course in January, you will only need to renew it once before you finish the program, as opposed to having to renew it twice if you book it before January. This will save ~$60.

Hi guys, I was waitlisted as of today, my GPA (by my calculation) is a 3.57 and i applied through the transfer route. Has anyone else heard anything back ?

I'm also waitlisted with a 3.59 for degree holder route

I still haven't heard back yet, I emailed and I was told my GPA was calculated at a 3.68 and that my application is still waiting on the faculty decision.

I feel so impatient right now!

Same here ,I emailed and was told my gpa was calculated at 3.81 and that they haven't reviewed my anatomy and physiology. As soon as they do a decision will be made and that offer of admission is on till dec 15.. so fingers crossed
