Will you be doing skilled intermittent visits or private duty? You'll see a different population of patients depending on which type of home health you will be working in.
My skilled intermittent visit caseload is primarily oncology kids. I also get infants with various congenital anomalies and a few kids who wouldn't need nursing if their parents had the ability to provide the basic care they need (weekly injections).
Children who require private duty nursing will be more complicated- trachs, chronic vents, kids requiring TPN, severe delays/disabilities, etc.

Hello all,
I am a school nurse (right out of BSN school) and I am taking a job PRN in peds home health. I am taking my skills test next week and I was curious - what are some typical peds illnesses I will be seeing in home health patients? Thanks.
