TWU Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi!

I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!

My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.

How about y'all?

Fill the following excel sheet with your numbers and you'll be given amount of points that they use to determine your acceptance into the college.

I went ahead and filled your numbers in with a 3.36 Nursing Core GPA with 90 TEAS score and your total points awarded is 49 including your Bachelor's Bump. In comparison I have a 3.72 Nursing Core GPA with 90 TEAS and I also end up with 49 points.

I have seen students applying for the FALL 2017 semester get accepted to the Houston Campus with points in the low 40's. Keep in mind that the Dallas Campus is significantly more competitive.

Do you/does anyone know if there is a new link for this spreadsheet? This one no longer seems to work. Thank you and good luck to you all :)

I can't find a working link to the worksheet on their anywhere on their website. I would just email an advisor for it.

Does anyone know the link to the spreadsheet to see how many points we currently have? I am not able to find it.

I talked to an advisor at TWU. They took the worksheet page down. However, she was able to provide me with my worksheet already filled out. Maybe it's possible that anyone who applied could get theirs.

Hi everyone. It's my first time commenting on this specific forum, unfortunately I didn't make the deadline to apply to TWU. I will be applying for Fall. I wanted to know if anyone who applied for Spring and was accepted with only having a work permit (for example through the DACA program). Thanks.

What study tools did you do to score so high on your TEAS? I have not taken it yet. Any tips?

I bought the practice exams on the ATI website, I think they are an exact reflection of the exam.

I ordered the Teas book from amazon. I also used the hesi book for a bit on the science. There's a cheat sheet but it didn't really help that much. I was a focused for about two weeks and went through the practice exams in the book to see what sections I may have needed more work on.

Just breathe, it isn't that tough.

Fyi, I scored an 89 or so. I don't remember.

What's the science portion of the TEAS like? I have the study guide but the science seems so random, the HESI mostly focuses on the Anatomy & Physiology but the TEAS focuses on way more, or so it seems!

Yes the TEAS is more broad. I remember receiving question on intro bio, intro chem, and A&P. I would definitely review basic chemistry concepts like atomic number, mass, etc. I seemed to get a lot of questions on that.

Okay, will do! Thank you:)

Has anyone come off of the waitlist for the Houston campus?
