TWU Spring 2019 Nursing Applicants

Starting this for anyone thinking about applying to Texas Women's University's Nursing program for Spring 2019. Even though it seems like a long time from now it's never too early to start preparing to apply:happy:

Is anyone else prepping for the TEAS or has already taken it?

Did anyone who got accepted to Dallas get a confirmation email about them recieving your initial acceptance paper? I got a confirmation email for the packet that came a few days later, but never one for the original acceptance papers, and I was just a little nervous/concerned. Thanks!

Hello everyone! First Post.

I just got accepted to Dallas Campus for Spring 2019.

My nursing core GPA was 4.0

TEAS 93.7% (Had at least a 90 in each category)

I have requested to join the Facebook group, I believe it is for class of Dec. 2020?

I'm trying to apply to the TWU houston school but its not showing that school in applytexas.com website.

Do I have to apply to the denton location?

To apply to any campus, you have to apply to the Denton one because that is where the main school is.

ApplyTexas.com is to apply for TWU (you have to get accepted to the school to be able to apply for the nursing program). After that you use NursingCas and that's where it will ask you if you're applying to Dallas or Houston. Hope this helps and good luck!! :)

Hi all,

Starting to panic:

I have all of my shots except for some reason my Hep B antibodies (from previous vaccinations) are not up to the level to count as a positive for immunity. I can get 2 of the shots before class starts by Jan 14th, but obviously I can't get the 3rd and final shot before class starts. Will I be still be able to start class and finish the final shot later?

Please help the school is closed today so I can't call.

As long as you can document your previous vaccinations, then all you really have to do is take another booster and do titers 30 days later and if positive, then you are done. This will be explained on Dec 7th. An immunization specialist should be there to answer questions so bring all your records for them to review. So, don't worry. You will be fine as long as you can document everything.
