TWU Spring 2019 Nursing Applicants

Starting this for anyone thinking about applying to Texas Women's University's Nursing program for Spring 2019. Even though it seems like a long time from now it's never too early to start preparing to apply:happy:

Is anyone else prepping for the TEAS or has already taken it?

Do we have to pay a deposit, or just turn in the forms? By the way, anyone who got accepted notice that the acceptance confirmation sheet says Fall 2018?

The form at the bottom of the email says Spring 2019. The first link says Fall 2018.

I read my acceptance email and both documents that were attached and it doesn't mention anything about a deposit. Also there is a link at the bottom of email that has the updated acceptance confirmation sheet saying spring 2019

I got into Houston!!

Prereq GPA: 3.771

TEAS: 85.3%

Points: 48.71

I have a previous bachelor's from A&M, but no TWU bump.

I got denied from SHSU, UT Tyler, A&M, UTHSC, and this is my first time applying to TWU. I am still shocked!

TEAS composite: 84 (93rd percentile)

Admission score: 53.53

Previous B.S. in biochemistry from UTDallas

TWU Dallas was the only program I applied to, this is my first time applying for any program, and I got in. I think I got in because the applicant pool for dallas was half that of houston, meaning there was less competition. or I'm just lucky AF. I'm not sure how they truly weigh your TEAS score, if it's just plain and dry percentages or if they base it more on percentile rank of that particular test, but I feel it may be the latter. Based on my stats compared to others in this forum, future applicants DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED ABOUT YOUR ADMISSION SCORE. I cannot stress that enough. Just apply... and apply smart. Plan it out and apply early.
