Starting this for anyone thinking about applying to Texas Women's University's Nursing program for Spring 2019. Even though it seems like a long time from now it's never too early to start preparing to apply:happy:

Is anyone else prepping for the TEAS or has already taken it?

What is this admission score ya'll are talking about?

@Michelleeli746

Spring 2018 Application

Nursing Core GPA: 3.72

TEAS: 85

Points: 42.70

Spring 2019 Application

Nursing Core GPA: 3.72

TEAS: 86

Points: 46.27 (I'm not sure if this is accurate as my excel is acting wonky when I change the numbers in the TEAS section...)

*No prior bachelor's degree and I did not complete prereqs through TWU, so no bump for me :(

This is what I received from a TWU advisor when I enquired about typical program stats:

Average TEAS- Dallas 93.4 Houston 85.6

Average GPA- Dallas 3.78 Houston 3.64

@CarleyL

It is the light grey number on the excel sheet given from a nursing admissions advisor (bottom right hand corner of the excel table titled "State Core Prerequisites")and it auto calculates based on an excel equation using which inputs your nursing core gpa, TEAS score, and any bumps you might have. HOpe this answers your question.

I really hope we find out next week Monday!

Cross my fingers! I'm waiting for my decision so I can start looking for places to live.

Has anyone tried calling TWU?

Hi,

Does anyone know how accurate that worksheet is in predicting likelihood of getting accepted into either the dallas or houston programs? I have 3.80 nursing core GPA, with TWU Preference, a composite TEAS score of 84%, and a previous bachelors degree. It shows that I have a 53.53. I applied for the spring 2019 program at dallas.

That's what I was most fearful of while filling it out myself so I contacted an advisor and had them help me fill it out to be as accurate as possible. You might be able to do over the phone appointment.

Hello guys, I also applied to the nursing program at the Houston center for Spring 2019 admission. To be honest, I am very nervous about hearing back from nursing admissions.

I took my TEAS and got an 85.8.

My nursing core is 3.48

GPA is 3.75

overall points is 37.

I just hope that we hear back soon to know what to do next.

Wish you guys the best of luck.

Same here! I've been so anxious these days, it's all I been thinking about!

Just hoping to hear back soon! Every Monday I get nervous because they usually send out notifications on a Monday, according to past forums, anyway! So tomorrow will be a great day to anticipate. As for the point system, when I met with an academic advisor this past summer, my points were the same with what I calculated, so I would say the spreadsheet is very accurate!

Seriously! Please don't make us suffer another week!! í ½í¸í ½í¸í ½í¸
