TWU Spring 2022 APPLICANTS

Published

I haven't seen a forum for the Spring 2022 cycle yet, so I decided to make one! What are yall's current stats? Did you see on nursingcas TWU added a special question section??

They left that part as optional however I remember seeing someone on this forum mention that an advisor said that they’re taking a new approach this admissions cycle where they will take experience and other factors into consideration instead of just admissions scores. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much Estelle !

looks like I'm a little late to the party but I've sent everything in and I think I have an admissions score somewhere around a 56??

TEAS: 88%
Pre-req GPA: 3.4-something

But I also have a prior bachelor's. I have a lot of prior community engagement experience which they said they're taking into consideration with this new "holistic" approach but it's hard to tell how much they look into that. I saw in a few of the other forums that people with scores in the 60s were rejected from the Dallas campus so I am really hoping that the applicant pool is smaller this application period.

Also, I saw that last Spring they didn't hear back until mid-November and I really hope it doesn't take that long for us.

Hey ya'll.

Has anyone else's application still not been verified yet? I'm really starting to worry because I didn't know we were suppose to submit it like 4 weeks early to make sure they verify it on time. ?

Also, anyone sure they are still using that point system? Someone said a few pages back they weren't but I'm kind of hoping they are.

Mine was verified unnaturally fast, I think less than 24 hours after I submitted, so hopefully, you get verified before the end of the day. But tbh I'm not sure if we're required to be verified before the end of the deadline I think it simply needs to be submitted, bc I think I remember reading somewhere that TWU waits until Sept. 1 for transcript verification. Lemme see if I can find a link to where I read that and get back to you. Edit: It states "The nursing application deadlines are February 1 for Fall admission (traditional and weekend/evening program) and August 15 for Spring admission (traditional program only). There is a two-week grace period on receipt of transcripts for the August 15th deadline. Transcripts must arrive by Sept. 1." in the nursing policy manual, located here: https://twu.edu/media/documents/nursing/POLICY-MANUAL-2019-Advising-for-Prerequisites-and-Application-to-the-BS-in-Nursing-accessible.pdf

which leads me to believe there's some leeway for the application being getting verified

also, I spoke to the head of admissions about the new "holistic" approach and he was very vague and gave me an unclear answer about it.

Thank you so much for finding that info for me! That makes me feel better, but fingers crossed it still gets verified before the initial deadline LOL.

Hmm okay. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Guys I sent my transcript to TWU a month ago. Also, I called them and they said they received it but my status says that my transcript did not arrived yet so I’m worried at this point. I don’t know what happened to it. Anyone have the same trouble?

you have to send one to TWU and another one to nusingcas for verification.

Did I do this right?

It looks like this is the one you sent to TWU but you also need to send them to NursingCAS.

If you haven't sent them to both I don't know if you'll be able to submit in time.

But on my status it says it did not arrived yet??!?

As I've said you need to send the transcripts twice. Once directly to TWU admissions and the second time through NursingCAS. Did you send two transcripts?
