Hey guys! I wanted to start a forum for us twu spring 2012 hopefuls!
About me
I have a 3.2, yikes! :sofahider, and after this summer it should come up to a 3.6 or 7 and I am studying my butt off for the teas and will only have 3 more classes after that to take. I have gotten into the university as the first step, but I am so worried about getting into the nursing program, fingers crossed
Hey guys! I used to be a student at TWU and I have all the notes for the J1 (Junior 1) semester classes - Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Assessment, Concepts. From what I know, these classes should be taught the same way. I don't know how much they change the tests, but I took very thorough notes, you might not even have to go to class. I also have some books left. The notes and books will be put up for sale. Contact me if you are interested!
@bluegirlfriend wanna make copies of your notes and sell two copies? I'll buy one if I'm in, too! lol [email protected]
Hello everyone,I'm late to this thread, but I applied to TWU- Houston location. I also applied to UHV 2nd degree Accelerated BSN program which is my first choice because I'll finish in a year although it will be intense. I am kind of back and forth what I want to do. Currently, I work at the VA hospital and I know students from TWU do clinicals there. If I get accepted @ TWU, I would not have to quit my job where I'm already working on a nursing unit and have an advantage because more than likely I'll get hired and don't lose my benefits or federal time. The cons is TWU program is two years and I'm more than anxious to jumpstart my career. Just curious, what should I do if I'm accepeted into both programs?
Have you heard anything from UHV yet? just curious. I also applied to both.
I'm fairly positive that the CPR we need is BLS for healthcare providers via the American Heart Association, we can take it just about anywhere that offers CPR, but just have to be careful of fire stations because a lot of times they only offer the basic civilian class. That's what every other school that I've heard of requires as far as CPR goes. Hope that's helpful.

I believe it stands for Tarrant County Community Colleg; it's in North Texas though.
