twu spring 2012 applicants!

Hey guys! I wanted to start a forum for us twu spring 2012 hopefuls!

About me

I have a 3.2, yikes! :sofahider, and after this summer it should come up to a 3.6 or 7 and I am studying my butt off for the teas and will only have 3 more classes after that to take. I have gotten into the university as the first step, but I am so worried about getting into the nursing program, fingers crossed :uhoh3:

I am new to the site, hello everyone! I just got an email today saying that I am not core complete. I called my school and found out that I am not core complete with them because I have not completed a pe class. Has anyone ran in to this problem?

Well it depends if you are missing any classes? If you have taken all the classes on the TWU pre-reqosite list it shouldn't matter, you will just have to take Women's studies at TWU once you start the program. But if you are missing any classes like math or something else, then it does matter, because if you are missing a class and you are core complete for example the math 1013 class, you don't have to take it. So it all depends on that. But if your missing classes, then most likely you will not be considered :(

@kuchen-- Oh no, I don't know anyone who has found out! I mean that I don't know many other people who applied for spring and are waiting to hear back that I can be anxious/nervous with lol :)

I am not core complete at the school I atteneded before. So I am not sure if I will be considered. They said that they would still process my app. I was accepted to start in fall of 2011 to Twu and utmb and this was not a problem then. I guess all I can do is wait and see what happens.

If you aren't missing any classes it doesn't matter. You will just have to take Women's studies. So just don't worry about it. Its nothing, they are just letting you know that your not core complete.

@Rosett, If you were accepted into the fall program at twu I am sure this should not be a prob. Did something come up where you could not go through with the program? Good luck with Spring and I hope, like the rest of us, you get in:)

I had a personal issue come up and I was not able to go at the last minute. This has been a long time to wait for a response. TWU is the only school I applied to so I hope I get in. I have a 3.8 GPA and 4.0 in science. Just waiting good luck to everyone!

has anyone called to see when the letters/email will be going out? Or are they still saying 2 weeks???

Has anyone recently asked advising about when we should expect admission info? I want to call, but I figure I should check here before doing so. Thanks!
