Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.

TWU doesn’t ask/look at any of that....just Nursing core GPA and TEAS and you get extra points for a bachelors degree or TWU preference ....it’s based on points....how many points did you have?

I had 47, BUT I only have 2 classes needed to finish my bachelors at TWU in the fall and I’m retaking a few classes currently so if everything happens as it should I’ll bump up to about 60 points. I just wasn’t sure if I should look into getting a patient care technician job as well. I have a lot of healthcare experience but nothing as technical as a CNA or a patient care technician.

Hmmm the cutoff must have been around the same as last fall (48).. .but you could be on a “waitlist” so there’s still a chance!

After the whole “Regret to Inform” you line, it states they recognize my strong academic success and wish to congratulate me on my acceptance to College of Health Sciences. They suggested I pursue a Bachelor in Kinesiology, Nutrition, or Health Studies. And they offered a $1000 scholarship for my “willingness to change majors”.
I’m guessing this is there way of “suggesting” I forget about nursing??! Would someone else who received a rejection letter please confirm.
Thank you.
And congrats to those who made it. My heart truly is happy for you. I know how hard each of you to get there.
Hey!
This was my second time applying, and the first time they sent me that exact letter, suggesting the same thing/scholarship! Which I, personally, felt like it was a slap in the face, and I was depressed for like a month, but that didn't stop me! I reapplied and got admitted! Long story short, don't give up! Try again, and try at other schools. Don't let it get to you!
