TWU Nursing Applicants - Fall 2019

Published

Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.

TWU has both options. I went online and saw that they had classes already posted for registration and they followed the long term plan, but it is early to tell since everything is “subject to change”.

Yea, i seen that...just curious if they would continue to fall the long term or change over to the 2 7 week terms...i wish i knew someone in the program currently to ask Lol

ok, so that will not apply to the Nursing program....classes will continue to go Aug-Dec and Jan-May....and im assuming for N&W we would do the long summer term since classes continue during the summer for N&W

Yup! I think the patho class this summer is the long term.

I know we are supposed to be patient but every time the new email notification pops up on my phone I almost fall out of my chair trying to get to it to open it ??. Cheers to the most on your toes week ever ???‍♀️

This may have already been asked and answered but does anyone know if they are going to send out the letters in bulk or like they did with the eligibility emails in waves by last name?

Based on previous threads, it seems like it is bulk, but people didn't necessarily get them at the EXACT same time. I think everyone pretty much got their email within a 24 hour time period. I could be totally wrong though.

Thank you!! Well I guess we atleast know if we see everyone posting that they got theirs to brace ourselves for 24 hours lol

I believe they send them out all at the same time...so everyone would receive a notification on the same day around the same time if accepted or denied...with maybe a few mins in between

Random, but does anyone know when they changed TEAS requirements to be that you have to have taken it within 1 year of the application deadline? At the last information session that I went to this was not on the handouts and it was not mentioned at all during it or my last advising appointment. I was just looking at the TEAS Testing @ TWU tab on the university's website and it states this... Is that going forward for future students or is that about us who have already applied? I swear I read over everything on their website and on all of my handouts about a million times before applying... I definitely would have noticed that.

They changed it after our application cycle. Someone mentioned it last month or in a January on here.

For those that applied to the Houston campus: If I am accepted, I am looking to move in to an apartment [short-term or long] while at TWU. If you, or someone you know is interested, please let me know. I know this is still early, considering acceptance letters haven't been emailed.
