TWU Nursing Applicants - Fall 2019

Published

Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.

Anyone with a last name in the beginning of the alphabet (A-E) that already received their eligibility email???

Mine starts with a J and I received it on 2/5.

Got my eligibility email today! My last name starts with an F.

hopefully they don't make us wait until "late march/early april!"

Last year, alot of people found out that week before and during spring break so I am assuming we will find out then!

yea i applied last year for the N&W program and they let us know the last monday in Feb and i think traditional found out the monday after spring break if im not mistaken...hopefully its the same this year...really hope i get in this time!

My last name starts with N and I haven't received any emails for eligibility. Would the advisers mind us calling in to ask about our applications being processed at the time? I don't want to be pushy.

Call Admissions and ask. I never received a letter about my eligibility so I called Admissions on the 8th and asked and she said because I already go to TWU they just did not send me one. Then on the same day at like 6 pm I got my letter for eligibility.

Hmm I called the office and they just said that eligibility emails are a hit or miss so I might just not get one. She said as long as I confirmed that they had my NursingCAS application and TEAS I should be fine.

For transcripts from other schools to TWU, if I sent them when transferring in to the Fall semester I didn't need to submit them again for the nursing application? I only sent transcripts to NursingCAS last month because I thought TWU would have them from when I applied to the school.

I just spoke with an advisor. He told me that they are still waiting for NursingCas to verify my transcript. As soon as that is done, he will recheck everything and then send me an email for eligibility. I guess just call if you guys are unsure, most likely they are just about to send the email, or waiting on NursingCas.

if TWU already had all updated transcripts on file you don't have to resend them when applying to the nursing program

Greetings, future nurses!

What is orange and sounds like a parrot? (answer below)

We haven't posted as much on the forum, but we do peek at it every once in a while to make sure the information that's shared is accurate.

We're getting some phone calls from applicants who are concerned about eligibility emails, so we wanted to pop in with a message of reassurance.

Because applications are being processed by multiple people, we each have a chunk of the alphabet so that we don't stumble over each other as we work. So if you haven't gotten an eligibility email, don't worry. The person processing your letter set may not have gotten to your last name.

Every applicant will get some kind of contact as processing continues, be it an eligibility email or an ineligibility email (due to not meeting requirements, missing TEAS, ineligible GPA, etc.). If you do happen to get an ineligibility email, you have five business days from the date the email was sent to respond and correct any issues.

It's very important to check your email (especially spam/junk folder) each day. All notifications will be sent to the email address you used to sign up for NursingCAS.

We know how hard it is to wait and we're just as excited as you are, which is why we're processing applications as rapidly and as accurately as we can.

Take care, future nurses! Remember to take deep breaths and remain calm.

Peace out!
