TWU Nursing Applicants - Fall 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.

Hi future nurses,

well, not sure if they are doing this alphabetically order but my last name starts with "Z" I did just receive a denial letter and the reason said to be because they did not have my TEAS score (Which I did complete and recieved an 84% overall and each Passed each section with 76 +)

I reached out to an advisor to see if we can fix this.

Good luck future nurses!

Just called an advisor and was told that not everybody will get an eligibility email. She said some people do and some people don't and some who don't still get in. It does not go by alphabetical order. My application is still being processed so I am thankfully still in the running. They have a great number of applications, so being patient is what we need to do.

If you're concerned about your application, call 940-898-2401 to speak directly to an advisor. Hope this helps.

Did you take the TEAS at TWU or request ATI send your transcript to TWU?!? I made sure they had mine bc they allow you to email them your copy while they wait on the official one...hope everything works out for you...which program did you apply to?

Anyone with a last name in the beginning of the alphabet (A-E) that already received their eligibility email???

hopefully they don't make us wait until "late march/early april!"

Last year, alot of people found out that week before and during spring break so I am assuming we will find out then!

My last name starts with N and I haven't received any emails for eligibility. Would the advisers mind us calling in to ask about our applications being processed at the time? I don't want to be pushy.

Call Admissions and ask. I never received a letter about my eligibility so I called Admissions on the 8th and asked and she said because I already go to TWU they just did not send me one. Then on the same day at like 6 pm I got my letter for eligibility.

Hmm I called the office and they just said that eligibility emails are a hit or miss so I might just not get one. She said as long as I confirmed that they had my NursingCAS application and TEAS I should be fine.

For transcripts from other schools to TWU, if I sent them when transferring in to the Fall semester I didn't need to submit them again for the nursing application? I only sent transcripts to NursingCAS last month because I thought TWU would have them from when I applied to the school.
