Hey guys! I don't know what happened to the last thread but I wanted to create a new one! Anyone out there applying for Fall 2012 to the Houston campus? I'm super excited and have all my stuff taken care of minus my Fall 2011 transcripts! I wish everyone the best of luck and hope we all get in!

Does anyone know if all the acceptance emails for the houston traditional program have gone out? i have not recieve anythign yet and im hopeing there is sitll a chance...

No idea if there are any more emails going out, but I remember reading on the Fall 2011 forums that there was a second wave of emails that went out a few days after the first batch. Maybe that is the same this year?

Does anyone know if there is a required "acceptance" deposit to hold your seat? I know a lot of schools require it, but I couldn't seem to find one on any of the correspondence that was emailed with the acceptance notice. Thanks!!!!!

I believe as long as you send in those 2 forms that were e-mailed with the acceptance e-mail then you are good to go. I just printed mine out, signed it, scanned it, and attached it to an e-mailed and got a response from her within an hour.

Do you guys know about how much the tuition is per semester? I know that that its like 170 a semester hour but I have no idea how much uniforms and other things we need to purchase will come out to be. Do you guys have any idea?

I did the math on little things but know I am leaving out some stuff! I am not including living expenses because I already live here!

Ball park: Tuition: 3100

Uniforms: 100

Stethoscope:75

Est Fees: 800

Plus transportation, shots, and insurance.

First semester looks like +/- $4000. Personally I already have my stethoscope and will be getting my scrubs soon because I want to spread things out financially as much as possible. Down in TMC lots of stores will give a discount if you are a student. Plus I've already completed my shots and I have insurance. Don't forget to save your receipts for EVERYTHING. Every bit of this is tax deductible so get a file and set it aside and anything that comes up with nursing school including simple school supplies throw it in there! It will help a ton come tax time next year! Once again this is total ball park and what I've gathered from the website!

Does anyone know what happens with your financial aid if you accept for one school but end up going to another? Thanks!
