Hey guys, I know it's a little early, however, I decided to start this thread as the application process will be soon upon us.
How are you studying for the TEAS?
Wishing all the best! :)
Hello Everyone! I am applying for the Fall 2018 Weekend/Evening program!Nursing Core GPA: 4.0
Prerequisite GPA: 3.9
Prior Bachelor's Bump
I haven't taken the TEAS yet. I plan on scheduling it sometime in January. I took a practice test today and made an 86% composite. Does anyone know how long it takes to get scores back? I am taking it at a psi center.
Also, I procrastinated and just turned in my transfer application to TWU today. Freaking out that I may have waited too long! Does anyone know how long it takes for that to get processed and to get accepted to TWU? Hoping this happens before the Feb. 1st deadline!
Hey! good luck with your TEAS...and generally it doesn't take long for them to reply regarding if your accepted or not (to TWU), BUT right now they are closed for the "break" and open back up in Jan (I think the 2nd) so you will probably here something around the 2nd week of jan or maybe the end of the first week.
Hey y'all! I'm applying for the Fall 2018 at TWU.. here are my stats!Nursing Core GPA: 3.56
Pre-Req: 3.53
TEAS: 85
Math- 91
Reading- 92
Science- 77
English- 75
I'm retaking my TEAS in a few weeks and have been trying to study as much as I can.. I had a phone advising appointment with Heather Close (who is amazing btw!!) and she said to try for a 90 in English and Science which would bring my point total from a 37.5 to a 46.87. I have no TWU preference and no prior bachelors. Can't wait to go through the admission process with y'all!
HEY!!! Good luck!!!!
Hey guys. So I took the teas today and got an 80.1%. Was aiming for at least 85, but I do not know if I should retake or not.
My scores:
Math = 90%
Science = 88%
English and Reading = 77% (which surprised me because I studied these sections the most)
My GPA/science GPA = 4.0
And I have the preference
I found the reading section from the practice exam in the ATI manual to be different from the one in the real test.
Sigh

When you put your score in the excel spreadsheet, what are your calculated points?
It was about 60.33. And I'm trying to apply to Dallas.
That a good amount of points from what I seen in on previous thread. The TWU preference must be more then the previous degree bump. Which works out great in your case. I graduated from TWU but I didn't take the prerequisite for the nursing program there. With those points I feel you have a strong possibility to get in. Good Luck.
Happy New Year, everyone! I just got back from taking the TEAS today, so I'm planning on applying to TWU Dallas in the next week or so.
Here are my stats:
Nursing Core GPA: 3.640
Pre-req GPA: 3.757
TEAS: 93.3 Composite (95.7 Reading, 100 Math, 87.2 Science, 87.5 English)
Prior Bachelors bump
Total points: 58.93
