Have any of you taken the TEAS V yet? I'm thinking of applying as well.
Hi Robbie,
I took it for spring semester. However, I am not eligible to apply spring semester. I need to complete two more courses. I am also applying for fall (Houston)
You need to go to their website, they have plenty information regarding TEAS V.
The cost is $100 if i am correct. Hope we all gen into the program!!:)
I am currently taking A&PII, Chem and am enrolled for Micro and Nutrition for next semester. How different is the TEAS from the HESI? Was it easy? Does anyone know the cost of the program. The length of the program for the BSN? Do they have an accelerated program for people who already have a bachelors degree

I personally think TEASV is harder than HESI. They do have weekend program for people holding a bachelor degree.

Hope it helps!
Hi everyone! Hopefully this thread will start becoming more active soon.
I've applied to the Houston campus for fall 2011 as a second-degree student, and I've been doing my nursing prereqs at Austin Community College. Applying to several other nursing schools as well: UTHSC, UTMB, UT Arlington, A & M.
For TWU, my prereq GPA is 3.56, with A on first attempt in Micro and Statistics (B's in A&P---retook and got As). I got a 96 on the TEAS.
I'm really happy about my test score, but my GPA seems a little low (mostly due to really crappy History grades during my first degree). I wonder if they can balance each other out...Does anyone know how important each of the different factors are? They're a little secretive about some of this information...I went to an info session in Houston back in August and they wouldn't give us any stats on average GPA.
Much love to fellow applicants...we can do this! :redpinkhe :)
I am currently applying to TWU Dallas for the fall semester. I got a 90.7 on the teas (put me in the 99th percentile for nation and 98th for program... not sure what that truely means in comparison with the program) and a 3.3GPA. I did not go to TWU for the classes, so i don't get the GPA bump... anyone know any stats or some of the scores of others that got in during previous semesters using the TEAS? I'm curious to see if my TEAS will offset my gpa or not... Not sure. What do you think?
I've applied for Fall 2011 in Dallas with about a 3.72 gpa. I did take most of my pre-reqs at TWU so I am barely getting the .4 bump. I'm taking the TEAS V tomorrow in Bedford. I'm a little nervous and hope I do okay. I bought the ATI study guide and have read it but didn't take the practice test in the book. I think I'll wake up early and do that before I go to the testing center. I am taking Patho and the required computer class in Denton starting next week to be ready for Fall. I will get in! Must think Positive!

Hello! Just wanted to start a thread for those applying to the college of Nursing at Texas Woman's University. Who already goes there? What do you have left to take? Are you nervous... etc!
My name is Alli, I will start at TWU, not the nursing program, this summer. Moving to Denton with my husband. I can't wait!
