TWU Fall 2021 Applicants

Hello Everyone,

I have been looking to see if someone would make a forum for us that are applying for the fall 2021 Texas Woman's University nursing program. Since I have not found one I decided to make one. So let's get this forum started! Are you applying to Houston or Dallas? Have you taken your TEAS and if so what was your score? If you have any questions or any information you would like to share please do! I am applying to Dallas and I have yet to take the TEAS. 

Hey yall.I applied for the houston program. I also received an eligibility email!  I have the following:

3.72 nursing core GPA

3.47  pre req GPA

Composite score of 77.3  % on the TEAS

    Reading: 68.1%

    Math: 90.6%

    Science: 70.2%

    English: 87.5%

This puts me at an admissions score of 34.53

I am reading that they really only look at scores 44 and above. Why even make us eligible if we won't even get in probably. Feeling discouraged. I have good average GPA's and above a 64% in each section of the TEAS. Upset that I am eligible but my application probably won't even get a section glance before they decide I am denied.

Do they only send out email regarding eligibility or also mail it to the address you provided?

It’s provided through email only (whichever one you used when applying).

Hello all - I emailed on of the advisors regarding the status of application verification. Below is the auto reply which hopefully provides peace of mind for everyone. 

NursingCAS application:

·         TIMELINE: We will start processing Feb 2 and expect to finish in late March. During this timeframe we will individually go through each application and let everyone know if they are eligible or if they are missing something. Watch the email you listed as your preferred address in NursingCAS, that is how we will contact you. We hope to send admission decisions in early April

·         The deadline for fall 2021 is February 1, 2021 at 10:59pm CST. We are strict on this deadline and do not make exceptions. If you have not already applied it is too late.

·         It is OK if your transcripts are not verified yet in NursingCAS. We will give everyone several weeks for transcripts to arrive and get verified.

·         Our TEAS Policy can be found here: https://twu.edu/nursing/TEAS-testing-at-twu/

·         Advisors will review applications one by one and if an error is found in your NursingCAS application you will be sent an email to the address listed on the NursingCAS application.

·         If you have met all of the minimum requirements to apply you will receive an email to the address listed on your NursingCAS application stating you are eligible for consideration.

·         Advisors do not review applications in alphabetical order but you will receive an eligibility email at some point in the Spring semester.

·         We hope to have admissions decisions finalized by early April. Thank you for your patience!

There are two approved ways of creating a special area for your cohort on this site.

One: create a facebook page. This link may be posted.

Two: create a "club" for your cohort by clicking on the Breakroom link in the yellow bar to the left of this page. Then click on “Create A New Club” in the green bar at the top of the page, and follow instructions.

References to other than these two avenues will be moved from view, to comply with the Terms of Service.

Who is yet to receive eligibility email and when did you apply?

No eligibility email yet.

Applied in November.

Should I be worried?

I would say. don't be worry. Maybe wait until early April before emailing.

 

I got my eligibility 

applied Jan 6th. 
score: 59 no bump (If what I calculate is correct)
