TWU Fall 2020 Applicants

Updated:   Published

Hey there. I plan on applying to TWUs N&W program in February for the Fall 2020 start. I just took my TEAS test today, my score was:

Overall: 85.3%

Reading: 87.2%

Math: 96.9%

Science: 74.5%

English: 83.3%

I'm not happy with my science score, but I also haven't taken A&P II or Chemistry yet, just A&P I. I plan on retaking the TEAS in December.

I have a 3.85 science core GPA (one B in A&P I) and 3.81 prereq GPA. that gives me a 45.56 admission score, which probably won't cut it. I can't retake A&P I in time, so my only hope is a higher TEAS score.

Who else is applying for Fall 2020? Are you applying to Houston, Dallas Traditional, or Dallas N&W?

Do we need Hepatitis A or not?

Yes, Hep A is listed as one of the required vaccinations. I did contact them to see if a IgG titer would be okay.

Hey guys I got accepted into the Houston and I see in the package it says something about the HESI exams on the expenses page, does that mean we have to take the HESI? (Sorry if this is a dumb question just confused loll)

We take different versions of it as our "final exams"

As long as you start it now you will be fine to have the 3 dose series done before clinicals start. Kelsey Seybold offers the fast track 2 dose series that only take 2 months: get your first shot, wait 4 weeks, get second shot, wait 4 weeks and then get titers done.

Is this Heplisav B series? I figured out Kelsey Seybold is in houston. I live in Dallas right now.

Yes it is the Hellisav!

Have we had a facebook group for fall 2020 yet? I submitted my acceptance form, and new transfer transcript, but have not seen them updated on my student account. Is it normal?
I don’t think I can have all the immunization requirements before May 1st, they cancel all my doctor appointment. Does it affect my enrollment?

The FB group for Houston is TWU Houston Spring 2022

And as long as immunizations/titters are started by May1st and completed by August 24th I think you’ll be fine. Walgreens and Kelsey Seybold are both great places for accelerated vaccines and take insurance

Are we supposed to get anything else after accepting the gdoc? I accepted and I feel like something was supposed to happen like an email or something ?
