TWU Dallas BSN Spring 2015 Applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello TWU Dallas hopefuls! I did not see a board for the spring 2015 applicants, please let me know if there is one already. Deadline to apply for spring 2015 is September 1, 2014. If you are planning to apply to TWU Dallas, introduce yourself!

I will be finishing my prereqs for TWU at TCC and DCCC this summer. I am currently taking chemistry, lifespan growth and development, nutrition & federal government this semester. I'm taking Micro(summer 1) and retaking A&P 1(summer 2) for the summer. I have to retake A&P1 because it will be 6 years old when I apply(bummer).

This has been a long road for me; to actually be so close is exciting/nerve wrecking! I hope to find comfort in knowing others are going through it too. I was working as a registered medical assistant for an infertility clinic for 4 years and am now just a full-time student/mother/wife.

I'll be entering TWU as core complete from TCC, meaning I will not have to take the other math or woman's studies course.

I am taking patho this fall at the Denton campus. I am pretty disappointed I cannot take it online, online is reserved for RN's that are pursuing their BSN. But, I am happy they dropped the first attempt A preference! This does make GPA more competitive and the TEAS as well, but I think with this change, I will have a better chance! (Made a freaking 88 in statistics) I plan on taking the TEAS in July. This applicant pool has the option to take the TEAS more than once, which is nice if you are not happy with your score. Also, the score requirements have changed and you now have to make at least a 64 on all sections to be considered. We all now it has to be much higher to be competitive! (80+ is competitive from what I have gathered from other posts)

I will be applying with a 3.83 GPA if everything goes as planned.

I am considering TCU as well, but my first preference is TWU.:)

If you just got accepted to TWU Dallas, post your stats to ease those like me!

I look forward to meeting everyone! Introduce yourself and tell us how you are doing.

@jnette2016 Hopefully you get accepted to Tarleton University like you planed. If not try again for fall but also have a list of back up schools you would also like to attend. ADN programs are not bad, only thing is if you have all your pre req it would take the same amount of time starting and finish once you get in an ADN & BSN program but BSN which you know is a higher degree. But I know friends that have gotten their ADN and bridge to BSN because waiting around to be accepted to start a program can be frustrating and time wasting. I applied to UTA ,TWU and several other school for spring and was lucky to be accepted at UTA but i have not yet to hear back from TWU. GOOD luck to you have your options widely open

Hello, everyone!

My name is Angela and I got accepted into the TWU Dallas program this spring, too!

I'm transferring from Richland College.

Can't wait to meet everyone! :)

Oh, and I joined the FB page, too!

Hello everyone,

I just stumbled across this page because I applied for the Spring 2015 semester as well! I still haven't heard anything back and it's kinda freaking me out!!! I called the nursing department today and they said I was 4th down from the list....does anyone know what this means??? The lady said that the first batch of letters got sent out today but I hope they're going to send more soon... I'm tired of this waiting!!!

I have a 3.95 GPA, 84% on my TEAS, and all A's on my prereq courses.

But congratulations to those who got in!!!

Has anyone who accepted their admission received any more information on the Dec 5 meeting or received a written acceptance letter in the mail?

I just received a second email from Ashley Bonner this morning so check your email!!

Just got it, thank you!!

I am filling out my clinical preferences right now and I am confused on which ID # to enter in the portion where it says "TWU Student ID." On the Pioneer Portal it lists a TWU ID and a Student ID. Does anyone know which one it's looking for?

It should be the 7-digit number :)

Thank you @B5018!! Also, have you been able to get the background check website to work? Mine keeps timing out.

Yeah I haven't been able to do the background check either. Glad I'm not the only one.

On the confirmation form where it asks for the TWU id, is it asking for the 9 digit number or our student id (7digit)??

@nikki4 I am not sure which number to put there either
