So safety and asepsis are done, and we're on to our other modules. I don't yet know how asepsis will turn out, I know for sure I missed one but I think I'll still be well above the 80% mark
I can't believe we're two weeks in and we're almost done with our LTC module Next we have fundamentals which is when our clinicals start, then med surg will take us to the end of the year. My friend told me that NS was going to fly by, but I didn't expect it to be going at this clip. I've got three exams next week, and 3-4 every week for the next 6wks but I'm just so excited to be learning this stuff!!! How's school going so far for everyone else?

lpn school for me has been crazy. i'm at the end of my first week, and it's 11:00 p.m. and i'm still up doing homework. i feel completely overwhelmed. i'm taking 18 credits which equals to 3 classes. i have between 5-10 chapters to read just for nursing a week. that dosent include at least 2 chapters for psch and 1 chapter for a&p. i keep thinking....when do i graduate again???

Hang on... it really starts to fly by. I started on July 1st, and now we're finishing up "level 1". There are 4 levels. A lot of the class is on their toes right now, seeing if they will even make it past this first level and whether or not they can pass the finals for this particular level. I'm completely psyched because so far I have straight A's, doing great in clinicals... and almost the end of this level and I'm still hangin' on! :) Time will start flying by for you. It seems like after the first couple weeks... you start really losing track of time! Best of luck!
Thanks! any tips for studying? I feel like I'm studying all the time, and barely squeaked out an A on the last two tests Yes I only missed three questions, but still that was super frustrating because I feel like I could have done better Clinicals are still about 6wks away for us, but I cannot wait!!!

I hear ya! Our first 4 days of level one consisted of one pop quiz and 2 tests! It wsa crazy! My only advice for studying would be read every night and don't cram! Of course even having done that I still satyed up until 1am studying (for one test) and got up at 6:45am and studied some more all the way up until the test started that morning. Except for in the car of course. lol I think this is why they repeatedly tell you that you will have no life for the next year and a half... lol
