TVCC 2013 applicants ADN (Got 21 points?)

U.S.A. Texas

I will be applying to TVCC this fall, and this is the first year for the new max of 21 points. I'm just wondering since there are no offical records, how many people have 21 points? I don't have 21 points pushing hard for 15. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I just want to know the points required. I can figure the rest out on my own. :D

@LaneyM

My guess would be that anyone with 19 and up are good:) Again.... Just my guesstimate;) I have 18 and I am enrolled in 3 courses now! I hope I'm good:)

I applied with 18, made a 90 on my HESI and my GPA is a 4.0. I don't know what more I can do. I am currently enrolled in the last to classes for an AS.

I can tell you that GPA and actual test score on the HESI aren't going to help you for the TVCC ADN program:( I'm sorry! Your high GPA will be useful moving forward at some of the other schools so keep up the good work:) The "tie breaker" will be the number of classes an applicant is currently enrolled in! I learned this the hard way last year:-/ Hopefully we have enough points and won't need to worry about it:)

I have an acceptance at TX A&M Commerce. I like the hands on approach of an ADN. I also applied at El Centro with 23 points. I feel beaten down right about now.

Don't give up!! I know it's nerve wracking!! When I struggle...I PRAY!! Seems like only God and others going through this process understand my inner turmoil! Good Luck! :)

I was told that they will start sending some out on the 29th by someone that works in the nursing department.

Good Friday? I guess it will be even better for those who get an acceptance letter ?

Last year it was on a Wednesday so it could be anytime....today..next Wednesday or maybe sometime before the 29th! Let's hope it is this week not next!

@LaneyM- cute point about Good Friday!:)

I received the email last year on March 21st at around 3pm! Not that it really matters... I just feel like it will be any day now;)

Why does it matter what we're currently enrolled in? And how would they know? Just curious....Even with a bach degree from UT, a 4.0 and 96% on the HESI I probably won't have enough points since my current Spring courses don't count. Frustrating...

@flowerpower, I don't understand how they use the current classes either. I am at DCCCD so they have no way of knowing what classes I am enrolled in. How many points did you apply with?
