Does anyone know the tuition and fees for Platt College's RN program? I am seriously considering attending either the Tulsa campus this summer or the OKC campus in early 2009. I already am aware of the lack of accreditation regarding this school, so no need to warn me.
I believe they were charging $21,000 last year, but I'm wondering if they increased the tuition since then. Thanks in advance for any information!

Commuter have you also checked into TCC, I believe they have some sort of bridge from LPN to RN. It would probably be many thousands cheaper.
Are you relocating to the area????

I know here at UCO (University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond) we accept all the LPN's that apply in our LPN-RN program--it's not competitive for LPNs here. And it would be a LOT cheaper than at Platt not to mention UCO is an excellent school. I love it!
Just wanted to throw that out there
My problem is that I cannot pass algebra. I have my prerequisites completed for most of the bridge programs in my area (DFW, Texas), but the community colleges are requiring that I display competency in college algebra. It is called "TSI Exemption" in this neck of the woods.
I scored so low in the math portions of the TSI testing, that Texas is requiring me to take 3 remedial classes (arithmetic, elementary algebra, and college algebra). I enrolled in the arithmetic last summer, but the class was progressing too fast for my personal pace, so I dropped it.
If I am unable to pass a college algebra class in TX, I will also be unable to pass one in OK. The nice thing about Platt is that they do not require any algebra whatsoever, which is why I am willing to shell out the expensive tuition money to attend one of their campuses.

I'd rather pay the high-priced tuition at a private institution that does not require me to take algebra.

I am currently attendng Platt's LPN/RN bridge program and will hopefully graduate in 5 mos. The tuition is $21K. Not to worry about passing algebra. The program includes all your prereqs in the first 4 -5 months; you won't have to attend any that you have already passed. Hope this infor helps.
