Hi Tweety

NJ22 glad the chest pain proved to be nothing serious

Dianah that sounds like a good day

Stars that is funny

Started feeling better yesterday, closer to normal.  Was a pretty quiet day at work, had time to get laundry done.  Found out we are getting a small raise this year.  After work exercised and had the online meeting of the events committee with the gay group.  Worked out the details of the architectural tour, emailed my contact to get it set up

Cat did not vomit last night, which was good. Though I still woke up an hour early with a slight headache, not sure I fell back to sleep before the alarm

Today is mostly ordinary, have grocery shopping tonight and a thing with the political group at a microbrewery

Will be slightly cooler today, lower 80s

Good morning!

Joe, glad you're weren't awakened by a vomiting cat. My late Slower had vomiting issues and nothing would wake me up faster.

Well, after a three way tie for last place we broke the tie and are in sole possession of last place after winning only one game last night.  They were really a good team.  No where to go but up.

I am not responding to the latest treatment for by intestinal whatever it is but have another week of medications to go.  I have to make a decision in a couple of weeks whether or not to cancel a trip in November.  It's far enough away I have hope that I'll be well, but I can't travel on planes and busses like this right now.  I need to cancel ahead of time to get the max amount of refund.  Bummer.

Anyway, off to yoga and later to see the Dotown Abby movie.  I slept real late today for me after feeding Waffles at 6AM.

Have a great day.

I am a most gaseous mass this morning,  I've always said I am the world's oldest colicky baby. Thank God for Gas-X!  Belcher should be my maiden name. My mom used to have to dose me with paragoric when I was very young, but that's not possible now. She said she could hear the gas rolling around in my stomach, even when she was standing a couple of feet away. (so my crying was legit!) I used to take a lot of Di-Gel in my teens and twenties, and grew to hate the 'taste' of those chalky-mint chew tablets. Not all the time, but sometimes my 'gas-relief-valve' wasn't functioning as it should. Today is one of those days! I can hear the gas rolling around in my belly!

I woke up pretty early for me.....8: 20 AM, and could not get back to sleep. Since I woke up or was awake almost every hour last night, I really was wanting to sleep more. I also did not want to get up and face the day; not that I am expecting anything awful to happen, it's just the usual reluctance to engage with you-know-who on an open, empty day with nothing to keep her occupied except the hem and sleeves of her jersey. She is relentless in all that fiddling. I made the mistake of asking her once WHAT she was trying to do by folding them up and unfolding them. I got a gobbeldygook word-salad answer. I shoulda known better than ask!  And last night she really wanted to change her pants and socks two hours before her bedtime, because when she sat down, the pant hems hiked up and the socks slid down and she didn't like the way it looked. I told her nobody but her and I were going to see those bare shins!  And I tried to ignore her best efforts to continue to get them to cooperate and overlap, so the skin didn't show. OY!

So, it is 5 minutes before one PM, and I can no longer let her stay in bed. My only hope is that after she has breakfast she goes into her trance and then falls asleep. I am quite tired of her, so *I* should be the one to sleep! But NOOOOO, I can seldom get into napping in the daytime. Maybe I could play possum and pretend I am sleeping and she will follow my lead. I suppose to her, *I* am as boring as she is! Can't say it runs in the family since I have none of her family's blood in me. (thank the heavens for that!)

Okay, we all know I could babble on about this, but I'd be preaching to the choir. I have to concentrate on getting through to Friday so I can get my new hearing aids. But, oh no! THEN I could hear her nonsensical speech better.........I still wouldn't be able to understand what she is trying to say, and sometimes she tries very hard and at length to get it out. It would bother me if I was in that condition, but her brain is focused so often on her having two shoes and her pants having two legs and her tops having two arms. Pitiful, really.

Hush your puppies, Stars, and go do your job! Bleh.

That's a funny story, Stars.

Joe, I would be frustrated about the travel plans, too, especially since you already changed once to accommodate her. Glad the cat had a vomit-free day. With our two boy cats, it seems that someone is always vomiting. Blech.

My sweet tooth and I think a peach custard pie sounds delicious. You seem to give a lot of time to the demo garden, J22.

Gma did not want to stay in bed last night and even after she finally did, she was up early this morning.

Arsenic and Old Lace is very funny. We finally watched The Thursday Murder Club last night and I enjoyed it. Hubs thinks he "always" figures out mysteries from nearly the beginning, but he did miss something in this one. I see that Robert Redford died. Reminds me of when I was a teenager and sitting at a hair salon. A couple of older ladies were reminiscing about the movie stars of their youth and saying how handsome Tyrone Power was. I barely knew who that was. So if I started talking about how handsome Robert Redford was to our young nurses and techs, they'd probably feel the same way.

My gosh, is it STILL Tuesday?

Nannie is SOUND asleep, so my hope for this day has been met. Of course, she will probably wake up in the next 1 + 1/2 to 2 hours, and then I will get her supper ready, give her medicine to her, and find something on the TV that she won't have so much trouble understanding. (I am tired of "NAN-'splaining!) The other night she enjoyed Wheel Of Fortune, and I hear you can watch it 24 hours a day, streaming all the shows of WoF that you can tolerate. Nope, not for me. It's good for 1 or 2 half-hour time slots, but no more than that at a time.

OH! I just remembered that I did a wash-load of her stuff earlier today, so I'd better go stick it all in the dryer. All for now.......

One thing that bothered me about The Thursday Murder Club was when the one guy collapsed, the retired "trauma nurse" checked for a pulse then said, "He's dead." No CPR or anything. Oh, well.

Ado, I critique medical shows in the same way. If the patient is on a monitor, I evaluate if the HR is appropriate to the situation.  So many shows have the agitated patient with a HR of... 60!  Very slow and regular.  Not!!

I did some exercises then walked from 6-7 with T and S.  It was hot, but we did OK.  We are done with supper, and I have had a shower and am just relaxing.

Hope you all sleep well
