Tweety seems like a good idea

Stars hope she stayed quiet most of the day

Ado limoncello and prosecco seems like a good combination

NJ22 surprised umbrellas aren't popular there

Work started a bit crazy, with a new case and a bunch of documents to review and a coworker off.  But quieted down by the end of the day.  Ran some errands after work and exercised

Today hoping work will be OK although we do have a meeting.  Thankfully my schedule tomorrow is on the light side

Not much planned after work except some grocery shopping

Weather continues the same mostly, mid 80s with no rain.  Haven't had rain in a week or two.

G'day!

Joe, hope you have a good day.

Yes, life with two blind dogs is interesting.  Waffles still has some hearing left but sometimes I wonder because I call her and she doesn't seem to focus on my voice and seems to go the opposite direction.  She might not be 100% blind but probably 90% or more.  Slowbro definitely is 100% blind.  Not sure how deaf he is but he seems to only recognize me by scent if I'm nearby he might perk up.

I need to mow the yard yet again.

Going to hit about 90 every day this week with a 30% chance of rain.

Have a great day.

Waffles is the princess that's alert in this pic.

Current plans are for a late afternoon/early evening sail. I've cut up apples, cheese, Summer sausage. And sectioned mandarin oranges. Maybe I'll take some nuts along, too. We have cashews and peanuts in the cupboard.

I think the reason that my former colleague found federal jury duty so inconvenient is that, even though there's a federal courthouse in Indianapolis, for some reason she had to go to Chicago. And it was a fairly lengthy bit of business. If Twin A ends up serving it will be in OKC so only about 35 miles.

Sailing sounds wonderful, I hope you were able to go, and that it was a refreshing outing (food sounds good too)!

I hope you got sailing too Ado.  Sounds fun.  I love water.

I believe there's a Federal Courthouse in Tampa.  Never been.

I have someone coming next week to replace the broken window.  Will be about $235.   I wish I could be a Karen about it since the worker broke it, but he's just a college kid working part time while going to school to study IT and is an immigrant and I just can't be that way.

An acquaintance's husband died yesterday.  He was fell and sustained and inoperable brain bleed and died with Hospice not long after the fall.  I'd lost touch with him as they moved up to the county above us to get cheaper property.   This along with two online friends, and a childhood friend dying (his sister recently got his death certificate "ruptured aortic ulceration") has given me pause to contemplate.

Tweety, I have NEVER seen Slowbro move as slowly as he is doing in that photo! 🤣  And Waffles looks like QUITE The Little Lady; it is a very sophisticated pose! 🤗

I love dogs so much, almost every dog I see, I want it! But that would make life a little unwieldy. When we were teenagers, My sister and I volunteered by helping a man take care of about 50 strays....he didn't want them to end up being put down at the shelters. He had a barn and a large yard with trees providing shade, but unfortunately not much grass due to the heavy volume of paws that moved through there all the time.

Each dog had it's "station" where it sat at for mealtime. Some of them just stayed with their "spot" and  some rowdy others had to be briefly chained for the meal. It was a LOT of work. We even had to do meds and treatments after they ate. The guy put himself in a position of losing more volunteers than he could afford to lose, because he hit on EVERY female volunteer that ever came to help him and the dogs out. After we went and helped twice, my sister and I were so po'd at him, because we REALLY liked the dogs. But you'd have had to knock him out cold if you wanted him to stop. Not one to take a hint, or even pay attention to some strong words So my sister and I sadly decided that we could not keep going back there because although the guy was good to the dogs, he was lousy with human females.

My favorite dog there was a large mixed breed, short hair, and his black and white colors were distributed so that he looked like he had a suit on. His name was BUTLER. He was so dignified that his name suited him. I would've loved to have him for my dog, but couldn't adopt him at the time, more's the pity. Oh well.

Okay, boies and gurlers, 'Reminiscencing Time' is over.  I'm going to read for a couple of hours. I have to remember to set my alarm clock since I have to leave for the car dealership just before or at 1 PM. I think SiL is coming over to shower and dress Nannie, but may not be taking her off for the day. She said maybe BiL would sit with Nannie while I was out. Whatever. And I think Chatty CG comes back on Thursday.

As usual, there is something....kind of funny?....I was going to tell youse guyze, but I do not currently remember what that was/is. Tune in next time to see if Stars forgets to remember or remembers to forget. Oh the suspense!
