Hi Tweety

NJ22 glad you're sleeping better after this procedure

Ado I use the case management association web site to track all of my CEUs

Stars that seems a good  way to celebrate

Dianah that is awfully hot, I would stay in too

Yesterday was nice and fairly quiet for me.  Got out in the morning for bird watching, ran into some other bird watchers, guess a bunch of us decided to go to the same place.  Came home and did the cooking.  Didn't do a whole lot else, except practice some knitting

Have been reading Simon Winchester's Atlantic, since I liked his book on Krakatoa. Have also been trying to get into poetry

Also trying to get more serious about mindfulness, as I see job stress rising again.

Was cloudy in the 70s yesterday, will be the same today and tomorrow but might get some rain today.  Will have a few days of 80s after that but by next week should be down to the low to mid 70s.  Will be glad when Summer heat is gone

We want to go through his PCP'c office as they know ALL the stuff his health (or lack of same) has gone through these past couple of years. When he is admitted to a facility, THOSE doctors can have him!

Sounds good Stars.  At intake they will do an H&P and exam regardless, and if you want an order from the PCP,  he can call the facility to admit him any time.  But if he's safe (I.e. not falling, or having horrible symptoms) to wait and you guys think it's best it's all good.  You've been managing this long what's a few more days going to do?  Good luck.

J22, it's no surprise that OCD worker is getting all bent out of shape about the move.  I'm so not OCD and would just throw things in a box and throw out what didn't suit me and call it a day.

My water bill/trash collection/sewage bill has gone up $20 a month.  My car insurance took a big jump this year.  When I got quotes from some other companies they weren't all that cheaper so I'll stick with them.  I'm waiting for my next review of my electric bill to go up.  Slowly but surely inflation is eating away at my disposable income and I haven't got a raise because of being "maxed out".

I do have to take a hard look at how I spend my money.  I still bought a hardback book the other day instead of going to the library or a used bookstore.  I'm still buying CDs and vinyl for music when I have Spotify streaming that has the same music on it.  I'm still renting movies and going to the theater when I pay for Netflix and have Amazon Prime where they have plenty of movies (just not the new releases).  I still had to have some "Malay curry paste" for $6.99 or expensive pure buckwheat soba noodles (most soba noodles are laced with. white wheat floor to make them cheaper). I've stopped keeping track of my food budget because of inflation I consistently spend more than I budget and gave up.  I just spend without giving it much thought.  My retirement and emergency fund savings are automatic so I tend to spend what's left.  But I've tapped into my emergency fund many times as well.

When I see it all written down and telling on myself, I'm kind of embarrassed and appalled.  Still, it's my money and I work hard for it and I don't touch my retirement money that I've been saving consistently for many years.  Still, I need to take a look at things since I've gone into debt again financing the bathroom remodeling.  Not sure where the monthly payments for that will fit into the budget.

We tend to make things work.  If we need to add a payment, somehow it gets taken care of.  I have tried to budget too, and I guess I am not good at consistency, for after a couple months I give up.  I have a pretty good idea where things are going and have come to use a budget as an occasional "checking on how things are going," and to identify possible areas to be aware of.

We need SEVERAL things to be remodeled (or just painted, for that matter!).  They will not happen soon, I'm afraid.  We carry on.  ?
