Good morning!
Waffles got me up at her breakfast time and wouldn't let me sleep in. So got up and per usual she went right back to sleep.
The debit card worked at the bowling alley so hopefully things are okay. About to go to the grocery store and find out. Will do some ordinary meal prep and get a haircut. I scheduled the haircut inadvertently at the same time as the yoga class I wanted to go. There's another at 6:30 pm and doubtful I'll go to that.
Ado, that is a lot of accidents. He sure is lucky but must be uninsurable by now.
Joe, hope you have a good day.
Not only did I think today was Sunday, I am having a hard time trying to understand some of the emails I've rec'd re debts. I need a financial whiz to help explain things in even simpler terms than are being used currently. It's why I hate computers; printed words that don't make a lot of sense to me (not being helpful to me because of computer language and words that 'do not compute'!) It needs to be explained to me as if I am essentially a moron, but IN PERSON. Break it down to the basic BASIC bottom line. I feel so stupid reading something that is SUPPOSED to explain it to me, and how to do what I need to do..... and it still doesn't make sense. OH WELL! "It will all come out in the wash" ? I do a lot of wash but not the kind needed for this conundrum. Guess I better research for an available local financial advisor in front of whom I can plunk myself down and ask questions until I no longer feel like banging my head against a brick wall. Though the impulse is there, I don't do that, though, because I don't want to get what many football players end up with.....scrambled brains.
So it is Tuesday and for Nannie that means a day she stays home. For me that means just another day to make it through.
Laundry is a'washin', and I am about to get up and empty all the wastebaskets...... AND then the dishes that all need to be washed. Sounds like a fun-filled day, doesn't it. I bet y'all are just jealous of me over these plans! Oh, and I have to empty out the refrigerator so I can get to the light bulb in there that has burned out.
Won't hurt to have the fridge contents straightened out. There's more stuff in there than there should be......untouched leftovers that have been quietly sitting in their storage bowls and pouting for not being used up fast enough. Maybe getting things re-organized in there will help me with another one of my 'favorite' themes (yeh.) and that is deciding what to make for supper at night. Neither of us eat three squares a day. Nannie gets breakfast, but it is late when she gets it, so she isn't hongree for lunch. And I eat a small meal around 3 PM which is my breakfast and lunch. Then we end up having some supper between 7 and 7:30 PM.
I also changed the batteries and cleaned my hearing aids so now I can hear every single sound including the seconds arm moving 'click-click-click-click' in all the clocks. And walking in the dry leaves when walking Tinker is such a RACKET! OY!
Maybe......(I said MAYBE) I will sort through some of the large recycling pile and remove all signs of my identity, put them in a separate bag, and see what the mailing/packaging/copying place would charge to grind up all that FOR me. But I am not going to run the shredder today. If Nannie is sleeping I sure don't want Tinker barking and yapping at the shredder, and waking her up...... so just cutting paper ought to be quiet enough for both of them.
Right now she has her eyes closed and is tilting over to her right side like she always does, so just MAYBE she will have a napping kind of afternoon.
77 degrees, sunny and very breezy and it is snowing LEAVES (brown ones, because like I said, we aren't getting much color here.)
Jibber-jabber-yakkity-yak.
P.S. I think there are a few people sitting on their lap-tops, or whatever other devices they have.....because literally seconds after I post I start getting those notifications that "someone" has reacted to my post. No words, just an acknowledgement that my post has been read. If any of y'all need something to keep you busy, you can come here and do dishes and trash-duty..... No? Aw, phooey, y'all are just no fun!
I had a nice walk with the dogs. I did some reading for a class I'm taking. Eldest sister called asking me to help her with a COVID nd flu test, both were negative. I've driven her to the cancer center to see her Dr and possibly get some IV fluids. She's had a productive cough for about a week. I wonder if they will send her to the hospital. I'm hanging out in the waiting room.
eldest sis apparently has a "bad bug". No fever, CXR neg. for pneumonia, white count 14,000, sodium 123. Sent home after a liter of fluid with oral antibiotics, and directions to take salt tablets. sis said--> nurse said--> doc said to get a CT, but not ordered. I have to take other sis to Seattle tomorrow, so dh is on call to help with transportation if needed. I'm getting ready to play online trivia.

Tweety hope you get the debit card situation worked out
Ado that is a tricky situation, and a lot of accidents in such a short period of time
NJ22 hope you find your debit card
Yesterday was not as bad at work as I had feared. There were quite a few emails to go through, but only a few calls and no new cases. Was a somewhat busy day but not bad, which was a relief
Finally decided to get the bike fixed, thankfully there was no damage to the tire, just needed a new lining on the tire and a new tube. Exercised and did laundry too
Today feeling a bit off, no real appetite today despite being quite hungry last night, but otherwise feeling OK. Should be an ordinary day at work. And after work too, just the usual exercise and grocery shopping
Will be a bit cooler today, low 60s might get some rain
