Tweety I find that I also tend to be in conflict with myself

Work was pretty good, not too busy.  Did get a new case at the end of the day but had time to get started on it before I left.   Did a better job at staying present and accepting than I normally do

After work I exercised and did some searching on CarMax for cars I'm interested in.  Was more difficult then to remain calm but I did mostly manage that.  Saved a list, today will email the loan officer to determine next steps.   I'll outreach CarMax this week to get things started, apparently you can do the whole car buying process virtually now, even with a trade in

Nothing unusual planned for today.  Will be a fairly normal fall day here, low 50s and no rain

Good morning!

Joe, when I bought my Toyota I picked it out online and liked it so much I didn't look at anything else.  I financed there to make the process quicker so I could get it same day.   It was all spur of the moment in that one evening I decided I wanted a new car and got one the next day.  Otherwise I might have gotten a pre-approved loan and had them use my credit union. I did another loan a few weeks later through my bank and did that all virtual because it was a slighter better rate.  The last three loans I've gotten from the credit union, I never went in and signed everything electronically, but the loan officer called to tell me I was approved.  Very easy these days with technology and a good credit rating.  Almost too easy as I got $15K to refinance my bathroom in a matter of an hour.

As I said before I'm very tolerate of others and slow to anger.  As I've also indicated I don't offer myself the same grace.  I was just telling a friend how I can make a mistake, be gentle with myself and move on and learn, but if I repeat the mistake, then I'm brutal.  Of course I did that last night and forgot my bowling ball and was a 30 minute drive away when I realized this.  It's probably the fourth time I've done that there is no reason that I'm so scatterbrained stupid to keep repeating this same mistake.

Anyway I missed bowling last night.  I'm making doing some meal prep this morning.  I woke up at 5:30.  My new doc sent in the script I asked for via the portal so that worked out.  I see she offered no refills.  Prior doc would give me 3 or 4 refills.  But if it stays on my list of meds, I can request a refill via my app as she's connected to that.  I feel like such a drug seeker asking for an anti-anxiety medication to calm me down and get me to sleep.  But I'll need when I go out of town next week.

I found some gumption and got some things done yesterday but of course it's never enough.  LOL

Have a great day.

'Tis sunny and bright, and 80 degrees. Our lawn-mowing neighbor came over and has started in on the mowing, mulching, and blowing our collection of leaves. Nannie is sleeping hard, so she can't complain about 'some man' being in her back yard. Momo made a soft, low growl at first, at the mowing; but when he came around the corner wielding the blower, she yapped sharply three times. As hubby and I used to call it, "being bischous". I know some chihuahuas can be little devils, but Momo is mild most of the time. One place where I used to do Home-Health visits, there was a chihuahua that belonged to the neighbor, and that little so-and-so used to hide in the bushes when I drove down and parked. Then when I got 1/2 way to the house, it would charge out, practically screaming the barks; even when I EXPECTED it, it still made me jump and yell "OH!", which satisfied the dog, and it would go home.

I pulled a bunch of blouses out of my closet and tried a bunch of them on...hey, hey, the thrift shop is going to get another bundle of clothes, 'cause I am no longer a 2XL. They were swimming on me, WAY too large. I'm happy for the most part, but several of them I really liked, and now they look ridiculous on me! I guess when I make the donations I should look around in the shop to see if I can find some blouses I actually can wear without looking lost in the billowing material!

It is 3:30 PM and I am soooo hungry! Think I will eat something now, (late lunch, early supper) and later I'll give Nannie leftover beef stew. [E-Z-P-Z.!]

Can't believe I'm not feeling chatty! But, choo nevah know, I might be back laydah!

The cold has definitely settled in but so far I don't feel too bad. Just need to keep tissues handy.

We watched the Netflix mini-series based on the novel All the Light We Cannot See. It was very good. The story had a slight departure from the book. It seems that we still have many stories based on WWII. It was a dramatic time and lends itself to dramatic stories. At one point I was going to stop reading WWII stories, feeling about them something like Tweety was talking  about with the AIDS stories. And that period of time when we still knew little about AIDS and didn't have a way to fight it was emotionally significant for a lot of people, especially gay men, I suppose. I found myself living in the city where Ryan White was barred from attending school because he had AIDS. In fact, my stepkids and then my kids would end up going to that school years later. So much fear and prejudice at that time.

But I digress. ?

It turned out to be decent, partly sunny day. I got a short bike ride in, then ran some errands. I couldn't pick up dh's prescriptions at Costco because my name isn't on the card. I took his Casio watches into the mall, but the place that works on them is closed on Tuesdays. Weird. So I got a pedicure, dropped stuff off for oldest ds and dd. Then took a check to Edward Jones. Then got my hairs cuts.
I'm currently playing trivia, and that's to youngest ds, im doing fairly well.
