Tweety have a good trip

Stars glad you get a break today

NJ22 glad you won't need to do all of the PT visits

Was a pretty good day at work, nothing unexpected, fairly quiet, even had time to help someone else out

After work was pretty quiet too, just exercised and took it easy.  Was finally able to figure out why the bike rack doesn't fit the car, turns out for this model year some adapters are required.  Plan to use my bike more now that it's warmer

Dad's TEE is supposed to be today but as of last night they did not give him a time.  Hopefully he'll get that today and then I'll pick him up from that.  Other than that it should be a fairly ordinary day, grocery shopping after work

Will be a little cooler today, temps in the mid 70s

G'day.

Joe, hope the TEE goes well.

Stars, glad your pains are better.  Hope they continue to subside.

I still do the calf stretches for my feet

I'm five hours into my trip.  Having lunch.  Used my phone to pay but noticed I didn't have my wallet and went outside and it was in the parking lot standing up for all to see.  Thank the universe I found it

79 degrees with THUNDERATION and heavy rain going on. Nannie is in a sparkling mood today, she said she is so thankful I am here taking care of her, and she LOVES the clothes I chose to put on her. (!)

Sun came out and it is still thundering and raining. Stepped out to see if there is a rainbow.... no, there isn't, not at the back side of the house, but maybe in the sky at the front of the house? My left knee says to NOT climb up the stairs unless it is absolutely necessary.

BiL is supposed to meet someone over here today to look at either the bathroom (for estimate for walk-in shower) OR to see what's wrong with the washing machine, which still leaks to beat the band. I have several loads of Nannie's laundry, because EVERYTHING was wet today when I got her up! So in a little while, I have to start in....first by laying out lots of towels on the floor to soak up what the machine leaks out, and then....an afternoon of waiting for the cycles to do their thing. I also have my own laundry to do 🙄.....AND of course, a sink full of dishes, AND a collection of trash bags to tote out to the bins. Some things never change; and if I avoid the chores for a day things really pile up....so what else is new? ......Nuthin''!

I remember when charting , if nothing had changed with the patient, you could actually legally pass muster just by writing the date and "Status quo" in the ink color of your shift, sign your initials, and that was that! Can you imagine?!

Gypsy-aches have dialed down a bit, but are not gone yet. I decided it is the barometric pressure aggravating my joints and lower back.

The estimate visit is drawing to a close, but I don't know the upshot on the downlow on the cost. Thankfully it is not something *I* have to pay!

It's time to get up and start in washing-washing-and washing. At least I don't have to use a bucket and a wash-board to try to clean clothes....and there is no river to go to the edge of, to launder things by smashing the clothes against river rocks. Thank goodness! Wheeeee! See? I don't complain about EVERYTHING, and I do know how to be thankful about some things!

Joe, I hope the TEE shows everything cleared up with no need for follow-up.

Tweety, safe and happy travels.

Stars, we did the walk-in shower conversion and it does make bathing and cleaning up Gma a lot easier. The boys complain about not having a tub in "their" bathroom but overall it has been a good thing. I suspect we overpaid to have it done but what do I know?

Nurse's Week gets combined with Hospital Week here. They do a lot of little things -- we got shirts printed with the hospital logo and allegedly can wear our hospital shirts with jeans all week although I did that yesterday and didn't notice that others did. I have several shirts after having been here nearly 8 years. Yesterday we got breakfast (sausage, biscuits, gravy, eggs) and snowcones. Today was grilled cheese sandwiches, ice cream, and Wii Bowling. Tomorrow donuts and pizza. Thursday Mexican food and cookies. Friday cinnamon rolls. But someone also brought me a cookie today and there are prizes (things donated by businesses in the community) and I "won" a tooth whitening system.

The estimate visit with BiL actually took longer than I said; the guy was here for an add'l hour+, and had a computer to show all the options for different bathroom packages to choose from. After he left, BiL told me the estimate was for $8,000. YIKES! But, he said it was something that is needed, and he can go down to the Edward Jones office and see about Nannie's investments covering the cost. That's how we got the new HVAC system, and how one of the trees hovering over the roof was paid for, to be cut down.

I did do Nannie's laundry and remade her bed with fresh everything, and I am exhausted! I hope to the beejeebers that her bed doesn't get soaked again overnight tonight! Maybe tomorrow I can wash MY laundry and bedding. I have done SOME of the dirty dishes, but not all of them. I THOUGHT I might have time to run the vacuum on at least one of the houses 3 levels or two sets of stairs.......BUT...uh-uh, I didn't.

Tell you what! I said I was going to do this before, but now I am REALLY going to do it. Once again, she ate her fruit (watermelon + blueberries) and the dessert (strawberry shortcake home-made by my niece and brought over by SiL the other day.) and drank her juice. She took two bites of her stuffed baked potato and said she just couldn't eat it. So, because she coughed over it more than a few times, I did NOT want to do anything with it but toss it OUT! Prior to her recent respiratory event (a cold and +/or a little bronchitis) I would have just eaten the rest of her meal, but I didn't want to put that coughed-over food in MY mouth!! YECH!

Well, she didn't want to go to bed at 9:15 Pm, she said she'd like to stay up..... even though she has been dozing off and on since she 'finished' (hahaha) her supper. It is almost 10 PM, so I think there is hope in my lifetime that I will get to go upstairs, feed Momo her snack and then play toss-the-little-blue-rubber-squeaking-dog so she can bounce over  and pounce on it (soooo cute!) Then she will crawl under the comforter and go to sleep.

We have watched Castle Impossible for two or three weeks on HGTV, and it is pretty fascinating. A woman inherited it from her grandfather, and she and her husband are renovating and decorating it.....mostly by themselves... there are no 'work crews', just an occasional 'bloke' to help them. If you can watch an episode, it's on HGTV from 9PM to 10 PM on Tooozdaie! Try it, you'll like it!

Welp, bedtime for Bonzo!

Hello all!

Dh and I had a good day walking around at Disneyland parks yesterday.  Walk, sit, listen to bands, walk, sit, repeat!

I walked with my friend S today, it was a good temp (low 70's) with breezes and nice fluffy clouds.  Walked 3 miles.  Nice to catch up with her.

Tomorrow morning I take the car in for a ceramic coating, that will supposedly protect its paint.

Not much else going on.

Have a good evening!
