Good morning!

J22 glad for the good report.

I went to my monthly floor meeting but left early to take Waffles to the vet. I ran into a traffic jam and called and said I'd be 10 minutes late did they want to me to reschedule and the doc said to just come in but there might be a wait. Actually there was no wait and I waited less being late that I usually do when I'm on time. No issues just her six months check up and one of her vaccines.

Then made some lunch. My refrigerator is still out but managing fine with the dorm fridge and the freezer that is still working. Took advantage to do a good cleaning of the inside of the fridge but threw out most of my sauces, ketchup and anything that said "refrigerate after opening". Won't be fixed until Thursday (I hope).

Going to mop and I think continue to meal prep for the days to come.

OMG. Yesterday when I got up I didn't hurt at all. THIS morning when I got up I could barely stand....my lower back and my hips were screeching! I took my AM meds, I fed Momo, made my coffee, and put on 3 Lidocaine patches on the 3 most 'offensive' pains, and went back to bed.

I really should NOT roll over on my right side while I finish the last few hours of my sleeping. Now that I am up and dressed (which was uncomfortable to do) I am still hobbling. It may not be quite as bad as it was earlier, but it still has not eased too much. DRAT! UGH! OUCH! (dammit!) Knees and ankles are kind of 'echoing' the hips and lower back, but I am hoping with some activity that it will all ease off. So, the right side is the worst, but all I can do is all I have done, and in the future will try to avoid sleeping on my right side at the end of my 'night', as much as possible, even though initially turning onto the right side feels so good. AHHHH. But then, BAH, things don't feel so good when I get up.

No plans to do much of anything, except, again, do the dishes, which includes the crockpot. Always more dishes to clean up when I actually COOK instead of nuking.

I dread it, but I have to do the Nannie-person's morning routine shortly. No daycare today. God help me to keep my temper as I listen to her grunt while I get the job done. MY grunting makes no impression on her, unless she is in her Southern Belle mode and gives me some fake sympathy. I hope she is not in a blathering mood, as the Talking Heads song "Stop Making Sense" plays in my mind. Don't have to worry about her making sense, though! But it is hard to wade through her stories of people that aren't here and things that never happened, which is fraught with lots of "Uh, uh, uh, oh I can't think of it, but YOU know...." So, basically my 'job' is that I must ENDURE the day,😣 and I don't get to seize the day, (OR her!) I do have a 'dammit doll' which you can throttle and it makes incredible sounds as you do so.... it is funny, but the 'fun' is of very short-lived.

Carpe diem? To heck with that!

Hello all!

No Stars, so sorry your pains are acting up! AND you have Nannie duty on top of them! I hope they are relieved somewhat with activity. Whenever I think of the aches and pains, the image of Lucy in gypsy costume emerges, as she sings (in the operetta she "wrote" during an episode) "I am the queen of the gypsies, gyp gyp gyp gyp gyp gypsies!"

Joe, good that you did NOT return to work chaos! I'm sure it was good to be away for a bit!

Tweety, SMH about your fridge -- that's a long time to go without it, despite having the dorm fridge to use! I HOPE it IS repaired on Thursday. Is it a newer fridge, computerized (as everything seems to be these days)?

I slept well the last two nights, dunno what's up with that, but I'll take it! Today the overcast is gone and skies are clear. We are watching the eaglets on their nest. They are starting to sit on the outer branches, though they have not fledged (flown) yet. That will come in the next 3-5 weeks, I think. Mom and Pop still provide meals, but not as many, so they young'uns get used to not having food sometimes -- cuz that's the way it might be sometimes! They are pretty much self-feeding now.

No plans for today. I stopped by the dealership yesterday to pick up some car floor mats, as when they were ordered we were told they would arrive today. Nope, they weren't there! So I am waiting for Parts to call us when they arrive, and then I'll trek out to get them. We are almost out of soups in the freezer, so I need to make some more.

After Nannie had her breakfast, she napped. I woke her up for supper, which she ate, and then she napped. Pretty soon I have to wake her up and put her to bed. Wonder if she'll get up to sit in the dark tonight? Got a text from SiL that she will come at 8 AM and give her a shower, get her dressed, and take her to daycare.

And so it goes.

Tweety, I sure hope you can get the refrigerator fixed Thursday.

Stars, here's hoping Nannie sleeps tonight and has a good long day at daycare tomorrow.

We officially had the wettest April on record. And today it rained all morning again.

We paid to have our taxes done this year. I didn't really look at the returns until I was looking up "Where's my refund?" and it said my info didn't match any records. Then I looked and saw that they used Gma's SSN on her return AND on ours instead of my SSN! Plus, they listed Twin B as a dependent (nope, can't do that). So I called and they said they'd take care of it. But I guess it will be some time before we get our refund.

Oh, yes. I got a summons for jury duty in the mail today, too. I'm being told to appear June 2. I *was* thinking I'd try to go to granddaughter's graduation in Indiana on the 3rd. Hubs and I decided after last trip that we won't travel with Gma again. So one of us would have to stay home. And sometimes she will only cooperate with him. Other times, she won't cooperate at all. The other day we all sat down at the table and she looked at me and said, "I don't like you." OK then!
