Ado the beach is nice.   Haven't  actually been to a beach in years

Stars that's always nice, when you can see the effect of the weight loss

Tweety glad the overtime wasn't too bad

Dianah glad that you're feeling better

Work was pretty good  yesterday.  Although I think that pumpkin soup disagreed with me, as I had abdominal pain much of the afternoon and evening.  Wasn't a particularly good recipe either, so going to skip that

Went to Trader Joe's and got some Greek chicken as a substitute, skipped exercise and went to bed a bit early

Feeling much better today.  Will head out in the evening to the book club for our regular meeting

Will be a bit warmer today, in the upper 60s, thankfully no more rain for a while

Good morning!

Glad Joe and Dianah are feeling better.

Congrats Stars on the weight loss and maintaining it.

Off today and have my six months dental cleaning today.  Don't have a whole lot of energy.  My usual 4AM wake up happened at 2AM but was able to get back to sleep when I realized what time it was.  I thought it was about 4 or 5AM.  Since starting Trazadone I usually don't wake up at 2AM anymore.  What's odd is I thought I was taking a melatonin and tasted that I had an extra Trazadone instead but swallowed it anyway.   It's a low dose and double up would have no ill effects.  So it's odd I woke up at 2AM and had trouble sleeping.  Go figure.

Hi. Yes, it is good to see that Joe and Dianah are feeling better.

I live close to the salt water, although our beaches are pretty rocky. And skiing is only an hour away. In fact, we have a local relay race called "Ski To Sea" that happens every Memorial Day. It includes 8 legs of various sports, that starts with skiing and ends with kayaking across the bay. I have never been inclined to participate, but we usually go watch the canoe leg as it passes down the river through our town.

I rode with dh yesterday as he drove down close to Seattle to get his tomato plants, and then we stopped for lunch at a Jersey Mike's sub shop. I was so drowsy when we got home, that I laid down and slept until dinner, got up for some saltines and milk, and then went back to bed. I don't know why I was so tired, but I guess I needed the sleep. I had a terrible dream where I was working in a hospital, but didn't get report, and couldn't find a computer to look at a chart. I only saw one patient out of five.

Today I am supposed to orient at the plant clinic, where people come in to get their plant problems diagnosed. I also need to go mow sis's lawn.

Hello to all!

Joe, Greek chicken sounds good.  Maybe there is another pumpkin soup recipe you might prefer.  I know I have made a few recipes that looked good, and tasted OK but I was less-than impressed with them.

Tweety, too bad you woke up at 2 (!!) but good you were able to get back to sleep.  Hope your dental appointment has no (expensive or painful) surprises today!

nursej22, hope you are over whatever it was that made you sleep so much.  It's so weird to have dreams of work!  Hope today goes well at the plant clinic, Dr.!

My sleep was much better re: the vertigo.  I still had a little balance problem when getting up during the night, but when I got up in the morning, it wasn't there.  Overall I say I'm feeling better, for which I am grateful and relieved.  Dh and I agreed, it was probably a virus.

Today and Wed. we will continue prepping the RV, as we leave on Thurs to go to Beautiful Downtown Yermo, the closest town to Calico Ghost Town.  We will actually camp at Calico Ghost Town's campground, till Monday (got a house-sitter all lined up).  There is a lineup of bluegrass and other bands on Saturday, at the Ghost Town.  We hope to jam in the campground while we are camped there -- will be joined by friends in their RV, and she plays guitar and sings.  BUT it will be 95 degrees during the day (66 at night)!  So, welcome Summer!

Have a good day!

It's me again! ?‍♀️

I did a grocery run; hubby wants 'corn-of-cob', mashed potatoes, green beans, and simmered beef w/ gravy. Gosh, that's a real meal! I also got pineapple, coffee, a variety of frozen meals and veggies, and a book of stamps.  And I had to get more laundry stuff (for the next time)?.

Hubby is resting in bed until the corn is ready. He set the table and Nannie's tray, and had the corn in water, the green beans ready to go in the microwave, as well as the 'Bob Evans' mashed taters, so at least he did SOMETHING today. Way to go, huh?

I hear the corn 'berlin'. (Archie Bunker for 'boiling") Guess I'll go up to the kitchen to keep an eye out, and decide which microwave item goes in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Whoopee.

At least we have a ballgame tonight.

Later, you'n's!

It was a good meal. So hubby said at 7:50 PM..."Well when are we going to eat supper?" [Yeah, he was serious!]

He has been squawking about the changes baseball is applying this year, to make the games not so l-o-n-g. He was going on, "They've done this, they've done that...(etc)...And every thing he mentioned, I said "Yup!" After about 5x I said, 'It's already all changed. Nuthin' we can do but go with the flow."

I am a professional 'go with the flow'-er.....the dern flow of VODKA. Ppfftt!

We had a decent meal: dh pick up some tri-tip steaks that he cooked on the BBQ, baked potatoes, and mixed salad greens. I just had a wee bit of steak, and had a nice potato with a of butter and some salt.

Today seemed more productive than yesterday. I got a nice bike ride in, got oriented to the plant clinic (computer sign-in, voice mail password, using the microscope. They have a nice binder with the how-tos in it. I will need to work 8 more hours there with a preceptor. Then over to sis's house. She has lost her house key, so we spent some time looking where she thought it might be, but no luck. But I also got the lawn cut. I had to do it on the highest. ds is going to go over tomorrow to redo on a lower setting and grab the long bits that got smooshed down because it was so wet. He will also take our long magnetic tool to find the key.

Dianah, so good to hear your vertigo is better. That would be rough to travel with.

Greek chicken sounds good! I don't think I've anything from Trader Joe's that I didn't like. Hmm, maybe I'll go by there tomorrow...

Tweety, I hope your teeth cleaning is uneventful. I am terrible about not putting on my glasses to see what pills I'm taking in the night. Awake at 2am sounds brutal. I'm glad you were able to get back to sleep.

oops, two posts in one day? Sorry to prattle on.
