Good morning!
Dianah, I hope you get a room. I know you enjoy those things.
Have a good time and enjoy those sweets.
Waffles let me sleep 45 minutes past her breakfast but that was all she could take.
I'm meeting my niece for lunch in Tampa, which is about halfway distance for both of us. Will be good to see her. We'll probably gossip about my sister/her mother. She decided because of my sister's drug use and behavior to stop seeing her. My sister is hurt by this because she wants to see her grandkids and my niece won't let her. I'm staying out of it. My niece needs to some peace after a tumultuous upbringing and history with my sister so I don't blame her. My parents who practically raised her aren't happy with her decision. Oh well, what family doesn't have their drama?
Cold and breezy 66 degrees, but by golly "that sun sure is BRIGHT!"
Nannie is in her recliner watching the back yard and commenting about the wind, the sun, and the cloudiness which comes at intervals. Hubby has 'gone to the little shopping center, which is 'code' in front of Nannie, that he is going to the ABC store. So what else is new? When he gets back it will be my turn to go out in the car.
I've got a small list of things to get from the grocery store, and have to make some calls to set up an appt for the car's oil change and 2 air filter changes, one for the engine, and one for 'the cabin'. Not exactly cheap at the dealership, and not sure, but I think I have to have it done there so my warranty won't be affected. (!)
I have about as much motivation as hubby, which is to say it is NOT very high.
Welp, have to get on something warmer before I go out. See yez laydah~
S'me again ----
I can have the oil change elsewhere, as the dealership said as long as they don't do anything else to the car, the warranty will still be okay. If they mess something up, I have to take the car back to them instead of the dealership to fix it. The real reason I have to go elsewhere is that the dealership didn't have an appt available for 3 more weeks! And I'm already overdue these past 2 + 1/2 weeks. YIKES!
Good news, hubby said he's not sure if he wants to eat supper, so I can just grab something from the freezer for Nannie; she's easy to fix a meal for, as she likes pretty much all of everything we ever put in front of her!
Well, I told hubby I had a "Honey-Do" list for him and read it to him. He said "Okay", but then he went upstairs to rest on his bed "to see if I can get my head to stop aching. He is also getting frequent hot flashes that need, like 3 different fans blowing on high right on his head, in order to cool off. My suggestion, if I haven't already told you (and I think I might have .... I am going to send him to the Mayo Clinic and/or the Cleveland Clinic, and have them do a COMPLETE examination of every single system of the human anatomy; then they can keep him for at least a month for detox, rehab, re-figure any meds, help him lose some weight, and give him psychologists help for the whole time he is there. Come to think of it he might need two months or more. Wash, rinse, repeat!
I have to take Nannie and myself to the hairdresser's tomorrow at 4 PM. I don't know what Nannie has done between yesterday and today, but her hair is heavy and kind of greasy. I believe she ran a little too much hand lotion through it to tame-down some of the cow-lick and fly-away hairs. It feels GROSS! And I WAS going to trim my own hair these past few days, but figured as long as she has to go, then I might as well have the hairdresser trim me up.
The Braves won the first of the double-hitter game and lost the 2nd one. Tonight, they have a game ... provided there's no rain where they will be playing!
Though there isn't supposed to be raining here today, or for the next 4 days, it is getting mighty cloudy and darker out there; we'll see what we see when we see it!
It's 65 here, sunny with a little breeze. It was foggy this morning. I drove over to the bay to bicycle, and it looked sort of eery with the mist drifting through the trees and out over the water. I had a nice ride, gradually building up the strength in my legs. Then home to vacuum, sweep, mend a few things, and do a jigsaw puzzle. I ought to go do some garden stuff, but it rained last night and I don't like slogging around in the mud. I am going to try to take a little nap and see if I can get rid of a head ache.
Joe, that is a weird dream, but I think not unusual for nurses: always feeling behind on something. Cookies are my weakness! We still have some Girl Scout cookies left, but I try not to think about them, and convince myself that I will enjoy a glass of water more that a cookie.
I too am working on weight loss. I'm down 2 lb, and am hoping to lose another 6 before my next doc appt.
Wow, Annie, good job on getting your reporting in early. Is that a quarterly thing?
Tweety, I hope you had a nice lunch with your niece.
NoStars, I usually change my own air filters, although I had trouble with the one in our pickup, and ds sort of growled that I should let the oil change place do it next time. I refuse to go back to the dealership that has been consistently rude.
Dianah, I hope you can book lodgings!
I pretty much stay away from the Political Forums; I don't go with facts proven by the citing of sites. I just have a bunch of what some think of as uninformed opinions ---ie "? feelings, whoa-whoa-whoa feelings..."
They very well may be uninformed, but that doesn't go over well with the more serious folks on the Forum. I go into the humor mode more often than not, it's a coping mechanism to deal with things that annoy me....like POLITICS!
OH WELL!

Yay, we were able to! I tried around 9 and couldn't get a real person on the phone. So I tried around 10:30 and we were able to book two nights, which is fine with us -- at the reduced price! So I guess we are going! Dh was right there for it, and helped out. Thanks for asking!
Had a good day.
Have a good evening!

NJ22 hope the errands don't take too long
Stars sounds warmer than it is here
Ado I've tried to begin weight loss again too, with limited results
Tweety glad it was a good day at work
Dianah I hope you are able to find a room
Was a pretty good day at work, not too busy, nothing new or unexpected. Hoping today will be the same. Stopped at the library after work and then exercised
Had a strange dream that I had picked up some weekend shifts at a hospital or NH, and realized that I was way behind on meds. Reminded myself several times that this was a dream, while I was still asleep, which was also unusual
Today after work the social group meets, we have an event at a bakery that will allow tasting of various types of cookies and milkshakes. Will have to be careful not to overdo it
Will be a bit warmer today, in the low 50s. At least the rain has stopped
