Good morning!
Joe, glad to hear that things are getting a bit more comfortable at work. I'm sure things will fall into place.
Stars, that's too bad about having the tree still in the yard like that.
Dianah, hope the sleep pattern gets better.
I'm more of the type that my plans and goals for my life aren't related to my career. I've been pretty okay with just being a worker bee. But as you know it's quite stressful and why I don't change and grow, is a fluke of my personality I guess.
I'm still off work. Going to the dentist this afternoon for a checkup and cleaning.
The team we bowled last night was a no show and we played ourselves and had to get within 40 points of our team average and we won all games.
Have a great day!
Good morning. I just dropped Angus off at the vet and found myself very annoyed. I booked this appointment weeks ago for the cardiac work-up as recommended by the vet. So I get there at 8, and they are still doing curb side, and the tech said the Dr. wants to know what level of workup I want? Um, I told you when I booked the appointment. And when I asked how long it would take, she said 2 hours to all day, depending on when she could work him in. So I guess I didn't have an appointment at all, more like dropping off your car for the day. I think I need to look for a new vet office. The vet may be good, but this staff doesn't seem to communicate well.
Congrats, Tweety, I think. Does this move you back to 1st place, LOL?
I've noticed lots of fast food places around here doing up-grades, and renovations. Many still have their dining rooms closed. There doesn't seem to be as much closing due to short staffing, but there are lots of help wanted signs up.
I got some moss killer spread on the lawn yesterday, and got the flame weeder out to take care of tenacious weeds, but I quit early because the hose connection was leaking. I'll cut the back grass once the dew dries off, and then spray some weeds there. I have a package to drop off at UPS and need to pick up a few groceries.
Dianah, I hope your sleep cycle smooths out. I myself really enjoy when I can take a little hour nap in the afternoon, and work really messes that up.
Weather looks nice today, maybe up to the mid 50s.
J22, that's too bad about the vet. It seems poor customer service and disorganization is becoming the norm.
I read an article that still extremely high numbers of people are quitting jobs and switching jobs. I see a lot of younger generation making fun of boomers on Instagram and TikTok for being so devoted to their jobs and the whole idea of "work boundaries" is something they are authoring. Not to generation bash because they are good hard workers, but they seem to have less tolerance for any discomfort or inconvenience than my generation. Just an observation.
I noticed yesterday my vet practice dropped the mask mandate and no one working there was wearing a mask. They still kept us in the lobby waiting rather than going to a small exam room. The dentist still has a mask requirement. It will be interesting to see if the doggy ophthalmologist still has a curbside policy or if they let us in. I haven't even met my dogs ophthalmologist and he's been going for two years.. Most restaurants here have had indoor dining for a while but there are lots of help wanted signs.
Unfortunately I have some decay under a 20 year old crown and have to have it replaced to the tune of big bucks. Fortunately I have the money in my health savings account.
Sunny, but still with a crispy edge to the breezes, 60 degrees.
I don't think I did much of anything today...Got up, got dressed, made my bed. Sat out on the front porch w/ hubby for a while; made Nannie a sandwich for lunch. Booped around on the laptop. Ate supper, now watching TV (Lt. Joe Kenda).
??Ho-hum, ho-hum, I've been a lazy bum....Teehee! ?<---there's no "bum" emojis!

Welcome back Trauma
NJ22 glad the pain and sleep is better
Hi Tweety and Amo
Dianah hope things don't get too dry there
Stars I don't think I've ever had that experience with either of my previous cats
Work was pretty good yesterday, I'm adapting to a new way of doing things. For now things feel uncertain and unsettled, but after a few weeks and some hopefully good feedback I'll probably be feeling more settled
Ran an errand and exercised yesterday. Dad said our usual place for reunions will be under repair next year so we'll have to alter plans. Still waiting to hear from some people regarding this year
Have dining out with the church group tonight, though last Sunday I noticed very few people had signed up. Hopefully we'll get people showing up.
Am starting to think longer term, not only in terms of retirement but what to do prior to then. It's possible I'll move away from case management in the future, might begin doing some research. I like having plans and goals, don't like just drifting
Will be in the 40s today, in the 60s tomorrow, then 40s the rest of the week
