Good afternoon.
Stars, hope you slept better with your Xanax refilled. Definitely hide them from your husband. Ugh...
Been up since 5AM. Mopped the floors, went for a 30 minute brisk walk just after sunrise, meal prepped lunches for four days, and have been to yoga class and the grocery store. Been relatively productive.
When I have having my coffee, I set my alarm for 30 minutes and promised to get off the internet after 30 minutes because I lose track of time sometimes. I actually stopped before 30 minutes.
I enjoyed the art exhibit which was relatively small as I expected. Then we went for a walk in a nearby park.
Most stores around here are chilly as well. I think it's a marketing strategy as being cold triggers hunger and you buy more in a cold store. But that could be an old wives tale.
Had my first appt w/ the counselor; I like her a lot and I have two more appts in July, on the 11th and again on the 25th, both at the convenient time of 11 AM. Amazingly, I talked w/ hubby before I left for the appt, and him being a bit more sober than at the end of a day, it was a pretty good conversation. He is not freaked out; I told him it was similar to when I went to the psychologist in Asheville, ie I am doing it for ME, and he accepts that.
After the appt I went over to the Senior Center and got their June schedule. They are doing things differently than they were when we first moved here, but, too, that might just be because it's Summer.
The only AA and Al-anon mtgs in this town are at 7 PM and 8 PM. Have to do some more digging, because afternoon times play better with our schedules. ...Hubby had asked if I thought it would be good, beneficial, ie would he like this therapist? I said I wasn't sure, but I think it might be a conflict of interest for her to treat each of us separately. But, maybe not. I just want MY appts to BE my appts and not include him. I told him he may have to ask if the doc's office had another referral for see someone else. I also told him he would need to make these decisions for himself. And reiterated that it would be a good idea for HIM to attend some mtgs at several different AA groups, to see which approach each might be following. I said he also probably would be helped by just talking with other AA attendees about their experiences and how they worked AA and how AA worked for them.
Anyway, I got Nannie's lunch: a big, fat steak and cheese from Subway; I know she loves them, and I ALSO know that a full tummy would coax her to sleep through the afternoon. Ooohwhee, my diabolical mind! ?
Braves play the Mets tonight at 7:20 PM. // I'm going out to fill the bird-feeders and put down a few piles of deer corn; hubby saw a buck and a doe out nibbling on the ground around the birdfeeders where a lot of nuts and seeds and corn falls. So I am going to set out 4 piles on the lawn by the shed and woods ---open area where we can watch them from the den, and yet close enough to woods to provide a place for them to escape into if they feel spooked by anything.
Anywayzzzz, the two siesta-ees are in their respective recliners, so I will be about my business!
3 deer just arrived in the backyard! Then, Nannie said, "Look at that big cat beside the shed!"...I looked and realized it was a fluffy gray fox when it turned his head and I saw the pointy snout. And now three more deer came up from behind the neighbor's back yard! And yet, a 7th deer! The fox went behind the shed, but the fox and the deer are pretty much ignoring each other. Come to find out, sometimes foxes eat corn and seeds, too, so maybe the scent of the corn brought the fox up here, too. The word must be out: "Free corn in the back yard of Stars' House!"
Oh! And yet another deer just came up, too! I am really enjoying this !!
??????? + ? = So COOL! ?
(PS: there was no gray ^ fox emoji, just a red one.)
No Stars, you got a lot done, good on ya! (the counseling appt, talking with Mr. Stars, steak-and-cheese Subway for Nannie, the feeder food for the eaters, etc)
Tweety, you got a lot done too! Good to hear you enjoyed the exhibit and the walk and the meal. :)
I picked up my new glasses yesterday, they feel good though I'm getting used to their new-ness. They fit well under my cocoons (sunglasses that cover RX glasses).
Dh and I picked up the RV today. He topped off the propane at the storage place, and then topped off the water when he got it home. I picked up burritos from our favorite Mexican food restaurant. I paid some bills when I got home, and retrieved the proof of insurance for the RV. Tomorrow I have a f/u appt with my Cardiologist, to go over results of the latest echo and she will, I'm sure, listen to my heart ( = prove or disprove my own auscultation!).
OK, that's about it! Have a good evening!

Tweety that's cool that they have an exhibit despite being so small
Hi Dianah
Stars glad you're feeling better today
NJ22 sounds like you have an interesting day
Headache did go away. I ended up staying about 45 min late at work, dealing with a bunch of emails and documents. Despite that the work pace wasn't too bad yesterday, just a lot to do
Didn't do much else yesterday apart from exercise, as I was a bit tired after work
Today the meetup group has a trivia event at a local beer shop, so I'll be going there after work
Going to be cooler today, in the mid to upper 70s. Still no rain
