Good morning.

I decided to be a team player and attend a "unit council" meeting to put my two cents into some things.  It was only 45 minutes.  I am not a "voting member" of the committee so I just offered two cents.  There were only three of us until 2 night shift people showed up later.  Meh

Stars, I had to fail physical therapy and medical treatment before I got an MRI which revealed a tear in my shoulder that needed surgical repair.  This caused weeks of delay in treatment and prolonged pain, when an MRI would have showed a problem.  But I guess there are enough MRI's done that show "you need six weeks of PT", so why not have the PT first.

Joe, safe travels.

I can feel I'm in lazy mode and not in the mood for doing chores.

Just checked my balance at the bank, paying 3 bills today before my eye appointment, then to the pharmacy and grocery store (for not much), and then to drop off an overdue, but lost, book at the library. I think it went in the donation box for Thrift Store, so I owe $8.99. I'll give 'em ten and tell them to put the add'l $1.01 into petty cash.

Time to gather my stuff and get dressed to go on the errands---

Well, y'all, I passed the CIC exam. Relieved for 2 reasons: (1) I can stop worrying about it (but do need to figure out exactly what to do to maintain certification), and (2) the Oklahoma Hospital Association will now reimburse me the $400+ for the exam.

Stars, Gma was sitting in her recliner the other day while Hubs had a car-mechanic YouTube video playing. She kept saying things like, "He's going to kill that other guy." I looked up and the mechanic had put on gloves (that happened to be black). No violence being hinted at, though. Between the TV and Twin B's video games she gets some pretty wild ideas about what's going on.

Hubs is finally feeling better where his eye with the corneal abrasion is concerned.

Sorry about the cancer diagnosis for your sister, J22. I hope the PT shows no spread.

Brother says that it took 8 days to get power back. He has roof damage that will mean replacing the roof, ceiling damage in the living room, and floor damage to old oak flooring. And many broken trees on his 10 acres. And the mosquitoes have been thick and heavy. He says he is ready to get away from the Gulf.

Congrats, to you Annie! My old boss encouraged us public health nurses to take that exam, but I retired before doing so. We worked with infectious diseases, esp. the reportable ones.

I had an episode of sciatica a couple of years ago, and had to go through the PT, then wait 4 weeks to get the MRI, 2 weeks to see a neurosurgeon to be told there was nothing wrong. Then, on my own, I figured out it was my bike.

A very nice day here. I stopped by my old job to say hi, and consult on a struggling houseplant. It was just one of those "lucky bamboo" plants that you used to see at the 5 and dime. A patient had given it to us about 7 years ago and my old coworker just can't part with it. So I am going to see what I can do. I feel just lazy today. We are leaving soon to have dinner with the fam to celebrated eldest grandson's birthday.

Congrats Ado.

J22, I missed your sister's cancer diagnosis.  Sorry to read that.
