Good morning!
Joe, enjoy your outing.
Up early for a charge staff meeting that was from 7:30 to 9:15 and I'm not even sure what we talked about. I'm really tired.
Went to get my blood drawn for my annual physical. As expected my platelets were low but at 116 stable. My bilirubin that has been running high over over a decade is normal this time. Everything else is good and practically a carbon copy of last year. Cholesterol 153 and Triglycerides 69. The only odd thing was fasting glucose was 113 but A1C was 5.1 so I guess I'm okay. The high for fasting glucose at this facility is 115 so I'm under that. Stilling pending a B12 level which I'm curious since I usually don't eat animal products and supplement.
Anyway, the rest of the day is mine. Will do the usual meal prep and call it a day.
The B12, folate and PSA levels were normal. (The PSA being below average for men in my age bracket). I don't know why I think any you care, but I do get a lot of flack for having a deficient diet because I eat mostly vegan. Despite eating that way for many years, I'm healthy. So there. LOL
Making some lentils for farro for meal prep. Watching a movie. Did not take a nap so I can sleep tonight.
Hi Dianah, hope you made it to Lake Havasu and are having fun.
Hi. We spent most of the cleaning out dh's old office. We are going to leave his big desk and the 4 drawer file cabinet in the room, but move it to the center so the workers can remove and replace the trim. We found lots of old photos which was fun, but distracting. Dh is struggling to let go of some stuff, so I don't press. I'm going to make tortellini with Alfredo sauce for dinner, if dh ever gets home from the grocery store.
I used to see an NP who ordered a lots of labs and advised a lot of supplements, which I don't think did much. I prefer to eat food instead of pills.
Cold day, and it just started snowing. Blergh.
The wind is bringing in the cold front again. Hubs and I were just counting first cousins. I have/had 10 (plus 1 we never knew about until 23 and Me came along). He has/had 32. Our kids have 9. One of mine lives fairly close by but we don't see each other often. She did just ask if I would be her healthcare POA. The next closest geographically are 2 in Dallas. Haven't seen them since their mother died in 2012. Hubs and I both get a little melancholy about the passage of time and not having family around and not having children in our lives. Oh but now I'm just being morose. We do have stepdaughter's kids, albeit they're in the far north reaches of Indiana!
Tomorrow and Thursday I will be driving to Lawton, roughly 90 miles away, for some Emergency Preparedness gathering dealing with chemical emergencies. What to do if a train derails in your county while hauling toxic stuff.
Supposed to be 80 here today on this side of the country. Too bad I'll be at work.
I take supplements for stuff I don't get from food. When I analyzed my diet it showed zero intake for B12 and Vitamin D so I take those. While I do eat things with omega 3, I supplement because I don't eat fish and absorption and conversion in vegan foods have shown to be problematic. Interesting my doc decided to check B12 but not D3 which most people are deficient in.
J22, I'm jealous of remodeling. Which I could get back to it, but not just yet. The best I could do was the rug I got for my spare bedroom. Baby steps I suppose.
Ado, have a good training. It's important because these things happen. My parent hospital was the epicenter for the Pulse shooting a few years ago when so many people were shot, injured and killed at one time.

Tweety having to take a class like that would annoy me too
Ado glad you're feeling better
Stars that would be good if your BIL could solve that drain problem
NJ22 sounds like a productive day
Yesterday started out busy at work but got better as the day progressed. Hoping for the same today, although we have a meeting today
After work was pretty quiet, the usual exercise and work with the dating apps. Oddly warm day, nearly 70. Slept fine, I think the issue the previous night was unusually dry air
Will do laundry after work, then meeting people from church for our monthly dining out. Thankfully it will be at a place nearby
Will get into the low 70s today, although it will storm tonight then be in the low 30s tomorrow
